I am redoing my system and downsizing considerably. swapping a JL 5channel for alpine power pack and ______ sub amp to power 1 JL 8w3v3. what is out there that is small yet reliable? about 300w RMS @4ohm would be ideal.
I would either like to mount it under a seat or under the center console if there is room.
im on a budget for this as it is a want and not a need.

also, if interested, i will sell my JL 700/5v2 since i will have no need for it.

    Smallest is hands down soundigital,
their claim to fame is just that. Google them.

Asides from that any micro chassis amp will work. I can fit 4,000rms worth of power under my passenger seat lol

the ones i showed in my group buy, the sound magnus 1800.1 ( clamp tested just under 2kw)
That is the name of the build house, they also build amps for quite a few other brands:) so instead of getting the " name branded version " i just get the factory name one. 10000% exactly the same

Funny I was just looking at the clarion mini amp. At sonic electronix. Almost exactly what you are looking for.

I've read the sounddigital's are prone to failure and few will repair them and no one will warranty the repair. Any experience with that?

there has been a few issues with the bigger amps 8kw-20kw amps,
You also have to remember these amps also get pushed to their limits and most people that get them do just that.

Sd just simply has the most power per Square inch.

I had 2 12kw personally and ran them really hard on an electrical system that was not quite strong enough for them and never had any issues,

The ones i got originally came from the rip rock twins who held one of the loudest scores EVER and i think they still hold their extreme class score.

These amps are now with another fella who's doing 160s and still going strong

Got a PDX V9 coming that I'm tempted to use for a simple setup in the Tacoma. Those are tiny for what they'll do and where they'll go.
