It was 5* cooler at the dunes than it is at my apt... 85 vs 90... It's pretty toasty for me.

So I got put in charge of the group to go to the dunes today. There was a list of 11 names that signed up and paid to go today. 2 showed up... I am 1 of those 2... The other guy was in a JK with his wife. He said he was a couple months from his 80th bday. They drove out on the sand for about 5 minutes and left. Said they mostly went just so they could say they have been. I played around for about 4 more hours until my gas light came on and left.

Holy shit:eek: $500/month for power?! I pay like $18 a month, maybe $30 per month with the AC and our power rate is expensive for Idaho!

Damn! That's almost what I pay a month for rent!

We have a lot of hydro and wind power in Idaho.

The MT clubs do - or used to do - a big get together every year. They usually had a pretty good turn out. But the forest service started givi,g them crap, blaming them for trail damage, etc. They weren't the problem but no one understood

Got ya. We've been thinking about doing that, but need to get the camper ready (we're pretty close) and then find a weekend to do it. I imagine some time in July though.

I've got the weekend of the 4th and weekend after already set aside for other trips but after that, nothing. July is usually bad allergy time so I need to be careful where I go

Got back from Copper River yesterday evening. 5 of us caught 160 Reds and 14 Kings. High winds/blowing silt dust shut us down from fishing for 14 hours. Fish processing today.

We didn't weigh him, but our guess is 40 - 50 lbs. 2 of the 14 Kings were Jack Kings (smaller/big Red size), the remaining Kings were around 2/3 the size of the big guy (20-30 pounds).

We're toying with the idea of braving Kenai Peninsula July 4th weekend with all the , and going to Whiskey Gulch for 'buts. Good fishing tide that weekend.
