I must! I love this gun, and would like to add many more Baer guns to the collection. This pistol could make a great shooter out of anyone! :quickdraw:

I recently picked this up from an Estate sale it's about 5 years according to Kimber and looks to have less than 100 rounds down the pipe....

Looks like my search for 1911 grips is on hold. My uncle gave me a Remington 700 in .223 tonight, so I think I will be buying an extended mag and a bipod for that first.

These are all shooters... I can't fathom the idea of letting one my beauties sit in my safe and collect dust.

They still have to make a profit, or back they go. I'm guessing they liquidate and disappear or they heavily restructure and try again.

Time will tell if they get their head out of the sand, I suspect not.

    nothing cool
Shot my first ever 1911 last week at the range. Kimber 1911 9mm (no clue what model or anything). Guy said it was a $1,200 gun. Maybe he was full of BS, but that besides the point. The gun shot amazing and made me look like I actual knew how to hit a bullseye. Now I see what all the fuss is about.

That's about the median price for Kimber.

They're nice, not the best value out there but nice guns nonetheless.

The beavertail is the only thing that stands out to me. Looks too wide.

I very much like my Rock Island Armory pistols! The pistols are assembled very well and function just as expected. Some of the MIM parts aren't as pretty as you may find in a high end pistol but the RIA pistols still function well. And, best of all, they don't cost nearly as much as some of the more expensive boutique 1911 pistols. Are they perfect? Not hardly but when you pull the trigger on a loaded pistol they tend to reliably go boom.

Hopefully they go 'bang' and not 'boom', lol!

I've had a similar experience with my Ruger SR1911. I had so many people telling me to get something better, that it was low-end, etc. But I've had nothing but good experiences with it. Very accurate, zero malfunctions so far in the 2000-ish rounds I've run through it, and it's just so much damn fun to shoot. The high-end stuff is great, and some of them are practically works of art. But there's something to be said for a good basic inexpensive 1911.
