When I started reading your post about the trip, I asked myself, "Why is he buying firewood in Vermont? He's camping in a forest." Then I saw the war-wound pic with Ashley driving and burst out laughing. For being such a lousy woodsman, you make a great beach-buggy builder!

Congrats on a great trip .... and finding the woman of your dreams! You've got a keeper! :proposetoast:

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PS: I'm keeping those tail light brush guards you sold me, but I'll try to find some for your hands and head.

Where did you install your compressor? I can't seem to find the location in your build, but I could be missing it. Good looking truck bud...

Yea I have some photos backed up I need to post..
As most I've seen I put it under the hood on the passenger side. But I've always wanted air supply out of the bed so I ran an air line to the driver side bed cubby and added a quick connect on the wall of the cubby.

To mount it I made a sort of mounting table using 3 threaded studs that were already in that mounting location. Two are the same height and the other is an inch lower. I just bent up some flat steel with hammer and table vise and made the heights at (2) 2" and (1) 3", and fashioned a small table top to be bolted to the legs. This should give you a flat close to level surface to work with.

Thanks. Unfortunately that location is a no go for the sport models or at least a 2013 sport.
