Harbor Freight coming to 527 Mary Esther Blvd, opening in June.

Might be old news to some, but news to me.

I just recently moved to pensacola and I am looking to get my truck lifted. I would like to install the lift kit myself just like I have done for everything else I've done to the truck but I don't think I have the skills/tools to do it properly. Can y'all recommend any good auto shops around the pensacola area that would be good at installing lift kits?

You still active? Doesn't the base have an auto hobby shop?

I just reported to base about two weeks ago so I am still getting a lay of the land but if there is I will definitely look into that. Thank you.

I'd love to help out and help teach ya what to do to get the lift installed. Lemme know man! Whenever you are ready gimme a hollar and I'll make my way over there or if you wanted to come this way, either way lemme know!

I was only at NAS Pensacola for A-school in '99 so I didn't wander much past the mega-building area.

    Quick google search found this:

    Auto Hobby Shop
    Building 1006
    Roberts Ave

Awesome, thanks for the offer Alfuh. I will definitely contact you when I get around to lifting it, hopefully in the next two months.

Sounds like a great idea! I've got a in-law who's nothing but yota. An 82 hilux, a 87 runner and a 97 runner. I think he is anti taco. More of a bend the springs solid axle standard throw on big tires kinda guy. It takes dedication to build a Tacoma. BTW how do I start a write up on my 01?? Started modding the Tera Flex shackles to fit tonight.

thats awesome lol, but it sure does haha. To start a build page, you need to start a thread in the 1st gen build thread forum area (here https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/1st-gen-builds.102/ ) and then at the top right theres a button that says "Post New Thread" and click that...give a title and then write away!

Good morning all! So I'm not from Pensacola, but I did spend 4 years down there back from 1991-1995 while attending UWF - loved it down there! I lived on Centerpoint Drive and at Northwoods apts. Anyway....I'm looking to possibly move back and was seeking opinions of locations/property I'm looking for. I last visited there 10 years ago and I'm sure there's been lots of change.

I've got 4 acres here in Maine and want something similar and don't want to live in a typical subdivision. Are there areas that are like this? I'm guessing north end of Pensacola or towns above (Pace, etc.) may be my best bet?

I've not begun and formal search yet...this is my first outreach.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Mark

Setting up a meet for the 27th or 28th. It will be at a small spot in pace/Milton or on eafb depending on interest. Hit me up if interested. I will have a defined date, time, location set by Monday the 22nd to give people time to prepare.
