Only way to go. I have one at home with a mount so I can take it off my bench when not needed.

Have you put a couple drops of air tool oil in it since you bought it? I run my compressor at 120psi but I've used my nitro tank set at 180 a couple times with my snap on to get jiggy with it on some pita bolts. I know someone was joking about the 250psi but I seriously have ran mine at 180 a few times in a pinch. LOL

I haven't. Should probably do that. Haha okay maybe thats what I'll try then. How big is your air compressor?

Any recommendations for race jack skids? The Solo setup is the best I've found but the most expensive. Found a couple cheaper ones but I'll probably go with the solo? What is everyone else using? I would like to build one but am not really set up to do so.

I'm not saying that's going to fix it but I've had a couple air tools here at my work where the guys say they're broke and they need replaced cause they don't work. Couple drops of oil and magic, back to new again... These are tools that have seen massive neglect though being used for production purposes. But, can't hurt to try...

My compressor is just one of those smaller under the work bench sized ones. Guessing it's a 20 or 25 gallon. Put it this way, with my snap on impact I can run 6 lug nuts on and then go around and hammer down on those 6 lug nuts and by then, it's usually kicked back on to rebuild pressure.

I only run my impacts on full line pressure which is 175psi. The impact will be fine with it. How "big" your air compressor is, isn't to important. I have a 7.5hp(160gal) and a 15hp(200gal) air compressor in my shop but a small 20-30 gal will work just fine for home use, just have to wait for it to rebuild pressure in-between uses.

Hmm okay yeah mine seemed to be troubled taking off lug nuts so that worried me. I'll grab some pneumatic oil. Just a couple drops in the end right?

Yeah, I just put usually 3 or 4 drops in mine every once in a while. Mine doesn't see daily use like a mechanic's would.

Beeler, good to know! So the couple times I have ran mine at 180psi probably wasn't exactly the end of the world or too abusive on it then at least.

my truck will be ready. Roll cages, engines front and rear suspension are overrated. Does anybody want to drag around a Toyota frame with a seat bolted to it?

I would love to, but I still haven't gotten around to swapping my rack out yet. Something about sitting in the garage for 4 hours when its 115* outside just doesnt seem worth it haha

I spent a summer here in vegas building the race truck. Wearing welding gloves so that I could use my bender in the direct sun was a blast! Better yet, wearing full welding gear for hours on end buzzing up the cage was awesome too!

Well I'm dumb enough to not think it's too hot to hit the trails. 220 miles of dirt is on this weekend's agenda.
