Really? The maturity in this forum is explosive.

Some of us like and want the bullshit fluff. I've never had a vehicle with fluff. Now that I'm older and can afford it.... You bet, I want it!!

Rainy day funds are nice..... no loans.

Dont get me wrong, the Tacoma should have some things that others manufactures provide that's for sure! But the other stuff I can do without.

I agree. Adaptive cruise control is REALLY nice to have if you do lots of highway driving. Offsets much of the fast-lane-hog stress and makes life much easier. I get the desire for a compass and expect it in every car I buy, but I can live without a temperature gauge. Crack your window if you want to know what it's like out there - says the guy with the 2013...:)

As for the MPG gauge and other functions, I'm adding a scan gauge. Shouldn't have to, but I'm over it.

Adaptive cruise control never works on my vehicles. Trucks on muddy or graveled roads glaze over the sensors with dirt and then nothing works. It sucks even more because then some systems start wailing at you all the time to fix them when all you want to do is get from point A to point B.

+1. My parents live on a dirt road and bitch all the time (mostly during winter) about Adaptive cruise control never working on their Ford escape.

    Nope.

Just tired of every second post on Tacomaworld turning into one side versus the other.

How about you concentrate more on the topic and less on trolling. If you want to troll I'm sure 4Chan is always looking for more posts.

It's coming if this keeps up.

Some people just can't get back to topic and want to start more silliness. I think OP's received some good answers. If anyone else wants to add more insight into why Toyota went the direction they did with the rear view mirror electronics that would be great. Other than that I think the "fanboy" versus "hater" style flaming can stay in the 3rd gen forum.

The 14/15 models have the back up camera in the head unit. Works fine for me. My only desire is to have the temp gauge but it's not that big of a deal.

I'm probably the only one that enjoys how basic the Tacoma's interior is compared to just about anything else currently made. Reminds me of the 90's in a good way.

My 2014 has a very accurate temp guage, if i touch the side of the door with my hand while manuvering if it burns its hot outside, if it sticks its cold outside, other than that quit whining, and let them concentrate on bringing us the taco diesel
