Whiskey Gulch or Deep Creek itself will be crowded but not too crazy I hope. But the whole Kenai Peninsula is just so busy that weekend. We have to strategize on when to make the drive down and back to avoid the heaviest traffic.

How goes teh gutting and cleaning?

 

Finished up about two hours ago. We had a five person crew, so it went quicker than the usual 3 person crew. We ended up with 234 packs of red salmon and 87 packs of king salmon. 1 of the guys that went with us took his cut separate to process on his own. Oh, and we gut them at the river and bring the whole fish minus the guts back packed in ice. So it's pretty much filleting, trimming, and vacuum sealing.

I should be napping before work, but I can't sleep for some reason.

How's the relaxin' by the lake going?

Yup

 

Got up early (what's up with that?) and decided to take a walk alone to the diner a few miles away. Nice morning for a walk and had a decent omelet. Getting heavy rain here tomorrow, glad I've got a covered deck. Father's day cookout won't be a complete washout.

 

Heavy rain last night.. Dam grass is growing so fast 3 days after mowing it needs it again
Looks like running the sprinklers in Apr. & may is not paying off.

 

You guys did good on the fish front.... Water was always too high when we got to go...

for a nice morning walk... Was hot here for our morning walk, so we had to cut it short...
