I knew a jeep owner once, strange indeed.

We need to get some folks together here. Ohio is so lame we can't even get a taco meet going.

^ That looks nice and relaxing.

I only get one weekend off a month and my next one will be the weekend of July 4th. I'm off from Friday at 3pm and don't have to go back till Wednesday at 11pm.

Haha. That was one of our guys. He built it himself. Thing is definitely solid, but heavy as hell. He built his bed and roof rack, sliders, and front bumper. Not bad at all!

So I found some trails, they are in Laurelville near old man caves.
The directions are; take state route 56 towards old man caves, turn on Conrad road and go down a little then the trail is on Carmel road which is an old township road.

These are the directions a friend of mine that lives out here gave me. He said they are open all the time and no one will harass you. He has pictures of the place on his Instagram which made me inquire about it.

There are a ton of good abandoned roads out that way. Mead Paper owns or owned a lot of the land and while it was posted 'No Trespassing' the locals all run it on ATVs, SxS, small trucks, dirt bikes, etc. It's actually hard not to find some fun stuff down there, just drive down most any of the one lane dirt roads that go into the hollers and while the road officially 'dead ends' there is almost always a trail at the end of it that continues on. This area also has a lot of what I call 'creek roads', that is, roads that run in and out of creeks so you are basically driving in a rock bottomed creek bed with water splashing up around you for hundreds of yards, then exiting out for a few hundred yards, back in, out, etc. Lots of fun and technically shut down but still easily passable. Also quite a few creek crossings, logging cuts, and hill climbs.

This album of pics is enduro stuff but it is all taken in that area, some actually right where you describe. Ignore the total randomness of some of the pics:

    http://meefzah.smugmug.com/Other/Se...ollow/44318934_S2hnTs#!i=3534692164&k=r3nJTCp

A few of those pics are of TR 3 which is an abandoned road that starts with a creek crossing then immediately goes into a few hundred foot hill climb on a rutted dirt track. I have no pics of the hill as you can't really stop halfway up to take any, but it's a neat and mildy challenging climb.
