Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
Why not have your pie and eat it too... Clear Cost Rattle Can the rack! Give you the weather resistance and the raw look. But I agree that the black on white looks great!

They do have clear powder coat, have it bead blasted or give it a grain look with scotch pads to add texture then clear powder it ....would look fkn sick IMO

Can you send me a link to the light bars? for some reason they won't load from the link in your signature.
    Thanks!

I haven't upgraded my site to list the new prices and models. I am a little behind. You can see everything on Heretic's site though and anything they have you can order from me as well.

I think I'm about to pull the trigger on a TOPRAC. Where is the best place to buy the Thule/Yakima tracks? I'm thinking Amazon. Is one brand preferred over another? Do I need to get anything else in order to mount the TOPRAC to it?

Has anyone had any issues with a RTT on top of a shell that isn't the commercial series? I've got a leer and the weight limit shows 150lbs, while the commercial versions show 400 lbs. I've seen RTTs on TOPRACs. Are the all commercial series?

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
    A few questions Zach.

Do you have a central repository for all the various parts, pieces, accessories, etc. that you make? They seem to be spread all over this thread, and frankly I don't have the time to peruse all 117 pages. And last I checked, your website doesn't have everything listed.

I will eventually have a bed rack to go over my Softopper, and by that point the height difference will be significant between the bed and cab racks. If I wanted to swap rails on the cab for something taller, am I looking at an even swap with you? Have to buy from scratch? Prorated? Discount? What sort of deal can we work out?

I'm curious as to your thinking when you designed the deflector: Why did you cut out the lower corners? I get a good deal of wind noise because of those (also because of the logo). Is it possible to follow the windshield 100%, without the lower corners cut out?

    Yes
    I'm confused...

    1. You expect a vendor to give you credit later to trade in your rack and change to a different one ?

    2. Roof rack = wind noise no way around it unless you make aero shaped cross bars and don't start the rack until approx half way back on the roof...and no, just look at the lines it would not follow the windshield it would stick out past it and cosmetically it would look bad from the sides.

I know it's not the cheapest option but a snowboard/ski rack does awesome holding poles and will hook right up to the rack. I have them for the snowboards but know they are popular for use with fishing poles.

I don't expect anything. Hence why I'm posting a question.

And no, roof rack does not necessarily mean wind noise. My last rack was as silent as could be, and it had the aerodynamics of a brick: tall, flat, and wide, and no attempt to try to blend it in aerodynamically. I get this one with the fairing matched to the windshield contours, and now I have significant noise starting at only 30mph......and I have a double-insulated headliner which absorbs noise well over stock (a feature I did not have with my last brick rack).

Which ever one fits your budget best.

I have always had good luck ordering from ORS (onion river sports) if that at least helps give you a good shop to start with. Huge selection and good pricing. Usually the best prices...

My buddy finished my wrap today. I'm real happy with how it turned out. I think I'm going to paint the screws to match though.
