Got my Jerry cans today, I found it amazing how hard it was to find a Jerry can that is safe for potable water. Now I just need to mount my jerry cage, debating making custom brackets and welding them to the cage to use the bed bolts to secure the cage. I want to avoid drilling holes in my bed at all costs.

Living in Arizona the plastic cans will last only a couple summers, 115 degrees takes it's toll on plastic. I lucked out and a local off roading shop had one left in stock and the same price as the plastic cans.

 

Interesting , I wonder how often the US military replaces their plastic Scepter water and fuel cans

 

No idea, probably being paranoid; but I figured if I was gonna spend the money I was gonna get something that would give me piece of mind.
