    Just finished up a custom ruger Blackhawk for myself

    The gun is a rruger new model Blackhawk in .45 colt with a 5.5" barrel

    Here is what's been done to it

    -complete action and trigger job
    -over sized base pin to take out the slop in the cylinder
    -super Blackhawk hammer installed
    -the recoil shield and loading gate were scalloped
    -steel grip frame fitted and installed
    -wood grips fitted to the grip frame
    -bead blasted and blued

    Turns out that the "raw steel" grip frame midway sent me was actually stainless.....so it's gonna stay silver or get cerakoted to match, haven't decided yet

    How are the both of you liking it? I was thinking of getting LC380 for my wife. The recoil seems manageable and the slide is easy to rack. I read this morning that Ruger will be releasing a 9mm conversion kit for the 380 later this year which makes it very enticing to me.

    After buggering up the end of my barrel trying to get a fused crush washer off, I finally have my AR back together and ready to rock. This time, I'm sporting the new Bird of Prey compensator. It was given to me by the manufacturer to test. So far all I can comment on is the looks as I have not had any range time with it yet. At the end of my 20" heavy barrel it may be a little overkill, but it definitely gives a unique look. I'll post back once I sight in the optics and try some fast tactical walk firing.
