It dosent matter but the majority of new members dont know as much about the trucks as the older members, hence the questions about packages, or statements about the 2nd gen or 3rd gen that make no sense or are not fact. Sure there are new members who have owned these trucks and are familiar with toyotas, but the vast are of the other type. Look through the 3rd gen section and you'll see this is the case.

If post count is a determining factor of intelligence than, given the members on this forum, I fear for our future. :p

It's the internet. Everyone is right. Who cares about post count. If someone says something that they can back up and it makes sense then I definitely could give less than two shits about there post count.

Not what Im saying. There is a clear correlation between high member number and less general knowledge of the brand and or truck than there is a low member number (someone whos been here a while) and knowledge of the truck/brand. There are always an exception, perhaps I need to make a scatterplot or explain statistics theories/methods. The internet is full of keyboard warriors and again not saying validity is given solely based on how long you've been here or how many stupid posts you may have made. But there is more evidence leaning towards someone who has been here longer knowing more than someone who is new to the forum and likely new to the truck. But I'm sure someone will chime in with some illogical response to argue this as well.

I see you have done a peer reviewed study on the matter. How logical .

There are plenty of people who join this forum after years of lurking. Sure, are there lots of people who join with no clue, a high post number, and a low post count. Yes. To say that judge that nearly every person with the last two of those traits is clueless about Toyota as a brand or the Tacoma is incredibility discriminatory not to mention illogical.

Judge someone on what they have to say. If you judge people on their member number I would hate to see the type of person you are IRL.

No one is judging, based on number or post count alone, but on the trend of what the post consists of and the correlation to member number and Ive never made it personal except with a certain member who decided to attack my character and the Armed forces. But thank you for reiterating what I said a few posts back, there are plenty of new members with more knowledge than older members. The point is there are more new members with less knowledge than new members with more knowledge. Holy f**k sakes. But feel free to reply with something else and your more than welcome to meet me IRL, but then again not sure I would want to meet you based on your previous comments.

When I was in the market for a Tacoma, priced out a new 2015. Out the door for the Off-Road package it was $37,500.

You think the new model will be close in pricing if comparing "apples to apples"?

Likely more. New truck has more options and new gen, not alot more, but will be more and in demand so expect less off msrp at first. 1st to 2nd gen was a 1-2k price increase.

No way to know until Toyota releases pricing. That being said the Tacoma is priced relatively low, MSRP wise, to everyone else right now. So a price increase could be coming.

Did I hit a nerve there? Your rant basically goes back on itself.

Maybe you should keep on topic rather than rant about the quality of information from new members.

As would any person you made an assumption about my character and who I am in real life, knowing little about me and on a internet forum, which speaks alot about your character, but I try not to make assumptions of people or judge as you put it and did in your previous posts. Back to topic.

I'll leave it at that . Maybe if you took your own advice and didn't make assumptions about people I wouldn't of made an assumption about you.

I just recently joined. I have a 06 sport 4x4. I visited this and a few other Tacoma sites over the years. Decided to join mainly because of the 2016 thread.

Most likely one of the older members, (mid 60's)

:rofl:this is awesome. Opened a can of worms in front of the grumbled Tacoma veteran. Regardless of my experience with Tacos
everyone here has 0 % experience with the '16, so we're in the same boat.

Also, I only ever really post in forums when i'm drunk which means I'm always right anyways.

Your quotes make no sense, that statement simply says that alot of posts that are what other's would call newbie type posts are made by members with high member numbers, thats not an assumption dude, thats an observation.
