So, I have a DCSB SR with convenience and tow packages and that's about it. I was playing around with the radio and I can stream tunein, iheartradio, and other apps from my phone to the radio over blue tooth, the only drawback I am guessing is you have limited control from the head unit and steering wheel controls as what you can do - but it does what i want to accomplish. In my youth I would have wanted a better sound system but this one is just fine for what I need. I wish I had HD radio, I don't think the base Entune is but haven't read up on it yet.

I have to look around to see if I can add a backup cam to the display, looks like I am wired but need to do more research to see if it is supported.

In my youth that would have been a killer stereo. All I had on my first car was an AM radio and an 8 track player under the dash with some 6X9's in the back deck.

Let me know about the back up cam. I have an SR also and would love to have one.

You should have no problem adding the backup camera. I have a DCSB with only the convenience package and the base entune and I bought a camera from a 2012 or 2013 off CraigsList. It was still in a tailgate that was rear-ended. Mine was wired all the way to the handle on my '15, but the tailgate harnesses were slightly different (my 2015 had 4 wires into a 6 pin connector and the 2012/3 was a 4-pin). We swapped harnesses because under the truck, the harnesses were both 4-pin.

Regarding the stereo, it's not bad. I had a VW prior to this with 300W DynaAudio system that was really nice, but so far, this system is decent. There's a lot more road noise in the Tacoma, so I think I can't really hear the stereo 'quality' as much as with the VW, so I guess it works for the vehicle.

I ordered one from Camera Source. I verified I have 4 wires out of the harness to the cab, hopefully they go all the way to the cab, I'll find out. The camera should be in tomorrow so I'll try to install it if it isn't raining and report back.

I also ordered the intermittent wiper stalk and an access limited cover. I won't be bored after work this week at least.

Finally found some people with SR packages! Have a '15 access cab with convenience package and my question is, have any of you been able to use the hands-free calling in your trucks. When I push the phone button the screen tells me "microphone not connected" which would lead me to believe that the microphone is not connected. Asked the salesmen and not one of them had an explanation. Do I not have a microphone? Wouldn't surprise me that much seeing as they didn't put cruise or intermittent wipers or keyless entry in it. Convenience you say? Thanks in advance for any help.

Weird. My SR has a mic and my bluetooth works flawlessly with my Android phone. And I have cruise control. LOL

the microphone is up by the sun glass holders. I have successfully been able to receive calls and talk no problems, answered with both the HU and steering wheel controls. Haven't tried to place a call yet - I want to try to place a call while parked in my driveway so I can hang up quick if I mess up without going off the road.

I love the SR package. I added the intermittent wipers and am wired up to the tailgate handle for the backup cam, just need to order it. I also like the 6 speed manual but am mentally still getting used to 6th where reverse is on 99% of manuals - had to order the truck and wait ~3 months. I put on an access limited tonneau cover but recently discovered the soft topper so I may swap that out soon. the tonneau cover is great - no complaints - but I never knew a soft topper existed until this week.

I have cruise and key less entry, thought that was part of the convenience package? I ordered that package mainly for the rear sliding window for the one time every 2 years I need to transport a few pieces of 16' lumber.

I ordered the one from camera source. I pulled off the tailgate cover and realized I was wired up to the camera so I returned the camera. Camera source was great to deal with and I highly recommend them. I just figured since I was wired to the end I would get the OEM one rather than snake a wire next to a perfectly good one. The one from camera source required you to run a harness to under the tailgate. They provided the harness and detailed instructions but it is just a matter of preference on my part. I would have saved ~$200. Pull off the tailgate cover and see what's up then figure out what you want to do, I think they have a wiring kit all the way up to the HU if you are not pre wired. If you call they will answer or call back and answer any questions.
