Next we'll hear that Toyota decided to delay launch of the Tacoma, swapping it for an early launch of the Prius.

after they start making them, it will take about 6-8 weeks to arrive at a dealer. has to be moved from plant to regional port then to the dealer.

I wish they would at least update their website to show build options. Chevy had the Colorado build page up months before they released the truck.

I'm going to try and say this while being polite as possible but I am going to be blunt, do you have any idea how much the manufacturer actually communicates with their dealers?

The answer is not much. If you are working with a dealer and they treat you politely, respond promptly to your correspondence (even if it's to tell you that they don't have any info yet), and are just plain generally helpful and not total pricks to you, cut 'em a break. And when the Tacoma finally becomes available, buy from them. Even if you feel the need to shop around to get the "best" price, always go back to your local guy and give him the opportunity to match the price if you found one cheaper elsewhere. Car dealers are one of the most critically scrutinized businesses out there now, and are still the most shopped. You'd save more money if you shopped around your jeweler or furniture store, trust me.

Your dealer doesn't want to withhold information from you, why would he? If he would have any info for you, it would already be on the web and you would know it already as well.

For the 2015s here in SoCal it takes 1 week for the Baja made and 2 for the Texas Tacomas to arrive after rolling off the line.

This... I have always heard to deal with a fleet salesman but will they not freak when they ask how many you plan to buy... you know for your fleet, and you say QTY: 1? Also, how does that work for a trade in assuming you can?

You are absolutely right, I withdraw the comment. Toyota's poor communication skills have nothing to do with their PR executives prescription drug problem. I am out of here...Bye

I've been dealing with the Fleet Sales ever since I ordered my 1973 Plymouth 'Cuda.
Fleet sales offered a discount to Credit Unions and other GROUPS. Hence FLEET.

Ah... Ok... Yeah thanks, the articles I've read online say to tell them that you are looking for your company, I'm not one to lie like this, I didn't know they also consider certain groups like credit unions as fleet sales.... I don't have a lot of experience, only bought one of my vehicles from a dealership.

Back in the day I would go into my CU and there were a bunch of contacts from fleet sale for all brands. Would call up the contact and go down and buy. In 1973 it was $50 over invoice.
This year I found the truck I wanted and used internet sales for my 2015 and it was handled by the fleet mngr.

Did the fleet manager give you a fleet price on the internet or did he just sell you the vehicle normally?

I'm curious too... I want to build my 2016... Doubt the fleet manger can or will give any off MSRP anyways, giving the popularity.

Oh please, I work in a profession that revolves around weiner jokes 24/7. It takes a little bit more then a tease like that to even try to ding my sexuality.

Do you know the joke behind that gasket? Obviously you don't.
