Been a lurker on here for a while. Made an acct just to say I want to thank all the people that contributed to this thread. I was ready to burn the truck the vibes were so annoying!

    Also..

All the info you need regarding any install questions is in the how to video shown on the ecgs site. I did mine in about 2 hours following their video. Truck runs smooth as butter now!

The side with no lines in it, the solid face side. This is so you can tap on that side to put it in without damaging the bushing

I received my needle bearing replacement from ECGS today. The new bearing seems to have some surface rust on it... will that be a problem?

Installed new axel and ECGS bushing a week ago. Driver wheel bearing went out/replaced couple months ago. Had about 2.5 lift w/ 5100s shortly after to level with heavier duty leaf springs. Everything was smooth for a week or two. And then the needle bearing nightmare.
Replaced tie rod end no prob with puller. Stupid stabilizer bar bolt nut broke lose inside frame leaving the sucker spinning. Left fix for that in other post. Suffered with that thru bushing replacement. It sucked but didn't make it impossible. Swing hub up. Pulled axel with slide hammer kit from autozōn-2finger adapter, invert finger. Forget hose clamps shi don't work just hold it. Plastic bag into diff. Pretty much mandatory to knock ECGS bearing puller in with punch. Bitch to get new bushing in str8 and have to BFH the axel in. Used new nut as to not mushroom end of axle but nut was a softy and messed up so reused old 35mm no prob. Retorc erthing, change fluid go to sleep. Friggen PITA but Done and smooth.

I've read that some TW members are putting the ECGS bearing in the freezer prior to installing it....why?

Because the bushing is a stubborn beech to knock in at room temp. I forgot to chill mine. Chilling it contracts the molecules making it easier to knock in.

Installed my 6112's at 1.5" instantly got the vibe, just finished up the bushing install a few days ago hardest part was getting the CV free. Truck is smooth just like it was from the factory the day I got it! Another  for ECGS!

Anyone had luck with using the Pilot Bearing Puller Attachment 27059 that you can loan at PepBoys?

I'm starting to determine that my needle bearing is causing my vibrations as well. Mostly 20-45 mph. Goes away in 4hi. My question is I only noticed after my lift I installed a week ago are my odds good that th cv axel is still good? Do you fellas just replaced the bearing with the after market replacement and replace the axel later if it looks bad? Hate to buy one to find the old one was still in good order. Or put in a new bearing just to have to replace it after the messed up shaft ruins it.. The vibrations seem verry mild to me..

Update on my situation. Installed the ECGS bushing today as well as a brand new carrier bearing. 40mph growl is gone (horray ECGS). However still have my 0-15 mph studder, as well as my vibration from 55-65. I shall continue in my search. Next is balancing the driveshaft and screwing with rear axle shims.

I just replaced the needle bearing with the bushing from ECGS.. My cv axle was fine. It happens after you lift becase of angle of the cv and the slop of the needle bearing..Here is a link to their website there is a video explaining the needle bearing slop.

Anyone have a YouTube video of getting to the needle bearing? Want to do some research before I start on mine. Plus I want to see how difficult it is.

Do you have a carrier bearing drop yet? Try dropping it 1/4" at a time to see if it helps or order the OME cb drop kit from wheelersoffroad.com

Thanks. I watched the video I was just wondering what the odds are on my cv axel being screwed were. If your were fine and most people's seem to be maybe I'll be fine.. It's not like I have been driving with these vibration for a long time. Just a few weeks and I live a mile from work..
