I've been in vehicles with no headliner in a hard rain, my old landscaping truck was like that. Obviously, the Tacoma is a little better than that but considering there is 30 years separating them, that's not really saying much...

 

I don't think the road noise or the rain is all that loud in my Tacoma

 

Looked like tornados were trying to form near my house...

 

Instead you just got cloud nipples?

I was at my Mom's in Bridgewater for the storm. It poured at my house (wife was home). It wasn't all that bad at my Mom's although the town set off it's warning alarm. That tripped me out a little bit since I've never heard it, even back maybe 7-8 years ago when we had the last storm where they said on the news if you live in Bridgewater seek shelter.

Luckily I was seeking shelter in her walk out cellar sitting between a plate glass slider and a window. I was more worried about hail ruining my truck than a tornado.

So much for that storm.

 

There was an alarm?? I didn't hear anything. Just hung out on the couch in the basement with the pups. Was hoping a tree would fall on the civic

 

You probably aren't close enough to the fire station. Her house is probably about a half mile away.

 

To be fair I'm not known for my survival instincts
