    :notsure:

I guess, If I couldn't have a Tacoma ...it'd be a Chevy or GMC. I wouldn't venture outside of those boxes.

My husband and I have ventured into Mazda, Dodge, Jeep, Chevy, Acura, Infiniti..... For trucks? I'd stick with Toyota. There would have to be something really disappointing in 2016 for me to turn my head. My truck is 8 years old and without the bells & whistles - that stuff wasn't available back then!! LOL So....just about everything on the 2016 is going to be 'new to me' .

Do you think the Tacoma should be less than or equal to the price of a full size vehicle? 40k is crazy.

HAHAHA. Yeah, I understand that. That why I'm rocking a 1st Gen.

However, some of the Raptors are double that 40k mark. 60k gets you into a Raptor. 80k+ gets you the one everyone wants.

I tried bargaining for a deal on a new Tacoma, with accurate cost analysis showing how much cheaper it would be for them to do a trade on my 1st gen. No dice. The dealership makes big bucks on those frame replacements.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
I agree but they are 80-90 percent of the materials, and 90 percent of the Labor etc to build it..

So 90 percent of the cost makes "sense"

Wish they made mini trucks again

Prices of "little" trucks has gotten out of hand. It is all the fluff people want on vehicles now-a-days. However, if you don't want that stuff, you can find a basic 4WD Tacoma for under $25K. Even today's stripper models still have a bunch of options on them, the Toyotas come with AC and power windows now.

Heck, you can get a 3/4 Ton for $34K. http://www.corwinfordnampa.com/new/...0a0a00640a90ab92c3206d9f.htm?searchDepth=1:28

There is a b-max trim for tacoma's that is the work truck package. Its the cheapest and I would love to have a new stripped model as a work truck but I can't afford 2 trucks with payment for no reason lol

I would think they are worth a look, being a long time Toyota owner it would be hard for me to leave the brand, I still want to take a look the diesel when it comes out.

Even with Tacoma's frame rusting issues, be hard for me to leave, but they covering it so I guess that is a good thing? I am originally from PA, Toyotas always seem to have a problem with rust...the frames were good, but the bodies would rot fairly quick.

I like the rear seat delete they have in the Access Cab, the seats are about useless...I just use my for storage anyways.

Wish they offered the V6 in the B Max trim, because all I need is a basic little truck, but need just bit more oomph than the 4 banger. Though do I really "need" a bunch of power now...probably not....hell, I drive like an old man...whatever the speed limit is, that is what I go....I rarely go over 65. Might need it for when it is loaded down with camping and moto gear...now that I am older, I find I am not in a hurry anymore...just sit back and enjoy the view. Would save myself a whole lot of money, by not buying a $35K truck. ;)

That would be nice. I really liked my access cab v6.

I really like my dcsb too except the short bed is a pita. But I can manage..

It was auto and bed size I like vs manual and headache bed. I chose the manual again.

I do like my manuals, and you do get the 5 Speed with the 4 banger, which is a little better tranny than the 6.

I dunno, that B-Max might still have the essence of what Toyota used to be, a no bullshit truck, that wasn't all that powerful...but would last and last...

    I bet it does.

That 4cyl and 5spd are excellent engine and trans.

I loved my 4cyl 5spd but like most others I just wanted more power.

And now I am looking forward to a supercharger! Haha

Yeah, I had a couple 22RE equipped trucks, not sure if I want to deal with it an underpowered 4 again...I am more patient now...so I am torn.

Could SC the 4, but might as well buy the V6 at that point, as you can get the SR V6 package for under $25K

I am more of a AC kinda of guy, we don't have any offspring...no need to play taxi. ;) That and I need a 6' bed...one requirement is that I need to be able sleep in it with the tailgate closed. I am short, but short bed short... :D

So spending $25K for a SR V6 4WD, sounds waaay better than $32K....if I am going to spend that might as well get a "real" truck and get a 3/4 Ton. ;)
