When I bought my truck it didn't have a wiper arm cap for the one wiper. Anddddd it still doesn't. I can't seem to find one that is the same and as far as I know I have stock wipers and arms. I know it sounds dumb but it bothers me to look at a shiny bolt. Anyone know where I can get one?

I had the same problem and a TW member sent me two caps. I think I have a spare one in my garage somewhere.

It might take me a while to get around to searching (cleaning up crap first) for it but I'll keep you in mind.

my neighbor lost one of his (99 prerunner) so I bought new ones from Toyota for a few dollars but when they came in they didn't snap on good so he added silicone under the cap to glue them in place.

I just mention this because maybe they changed the nut size or shape over the years at some point but getting one from a salvaged truck of same year would be my first choice

I know for a fact there is no difference between a 1998 and a 2004.

well maybe so, that's what the book says too but his one old cap snapped on both sides but the Toyota factory oem replacement cap barely snapped so lightly that if you tapped on it with your finger it popped right off and I triple checked it was the right part number so maybe the oem Toyota replacement part is poor quality fit.

that's why I think its better to get an original one then a new replacement one

Just go to camelback toyota parts online and order a couple. Not much money. That's what I did for my 92.
Unless madjik can get you one of course.

Thanks, PM me if you find one. In the mean time I found that the part number on my most recent purchase is 85292 and I'm pretty sure the one I need it 85192. Can someone confirm. The 85292 is a bit too shallow and short.

I found them at a salvage yard they were off a 4runner. Tacoma and 3rd gen 4Runners are the same. I use to keep a couple spares, my seem to grow feet and walk away from time to time.
