Front bilstein 5100 with OME 884 w/trim pack, 17" fuel trophy wheels wrapped with 32" toyot open country m/t, bakflip fibermax tonneau cover, Avec 30" led light bar behind lower grille, marathon seat covers in max 5 camo pattern, trimmed front and rear mud flaps, more to come.
I have 884x with billy 5100 set at zero. I had the Billy's before on oem spring set on the third height. Now with the new set up I get some creeks and noises here and there when turning mainly pulling out of driveway or parking spot. Could this be due to the spring being a higher load rating. Sorry for the stupid question just curious cause I've never had this before. I even got under the truck to see if there zerck fittings I could lube up but this is the first truck I have owned that doesn't have them, upper or lower. All the grease points I have noticed were the ones on the drive shaft. Correct me if I'm wrong.

They make extended bolts for the top of your shock for use w the lift enhancer spacers. Perhaps the shock on the left in your picture is equipped w one while the one on the right is not. Maybe the trim packer is making the difference but I don't think it would be that drastic.

Actually the one on the right is not full seated on the bottom.

And on the one on the right at the top the spring is against one of the mounting bolts and not on the left.

in ^that picture, the isolator pad is also cockeyed on the left shock, the studs should line up with the little rubber nipples on the isolator

No kidding. That's why I'm trying to get them straightened out so I can put them on. Does anyone have any instructions for these? I think I'll take them to my mechanic and have him take them apart. Witch sucks because I paid to have them assembled when I bought them.

Call where ever you bought them from and have them make it right... Or ask them to return the assembly fee.

I'm getting ready to call them. Also it appears I am missing the top washer and rubber bushing that goes on top of the top hat. At least all the other pictures I find have a bushing and washer under the top shock nut.

I'm going to hold off on giving that out. I'm going to give them a chance at making it right first.

Am I correct that these are missing the top bushing and washer?
Is there a bushing on the under side of these as well?
I think l'll run these down to my mechanic and have him disassemble them to see what else is messed up.

There should be two large washers on each side of the bushings under and above the top hat. Looks lije the secretary tried to put the struts together for you that's extremely wrong..

So it looks like I don't have the washers and bushing in this picture.

There's also one more bushing above the bottom washer. I could never find it in any diagram but it's there.

I've read that on the 2nd gen the second bushing is attached to the bottom of the top hat.

It appears to be in there but there is no bottom washer.

Just installed OME 90000 / 886x coils. Kept the sway-bar off and it rides excellent compared to stock.

The TRD struts were riding on the front bump stops!

I have approximately 150 lbs on the front. (Aluminum bumper, 10k winch, skids).

    IMG_0803.jpg

Note: For anyone doing this install themselves, the UCA bolts are not as bad as people say it is. Passenger side just needs an extra set of hands to help guide the bolt out from under the hood. PM me if you want details.
