How do the 700 lb coils ride?

 

Does anyone have pics of a 1st gen with 1.25" spacers, stock wheels, and 285/75/16's?

 

I like them a lot. Firm but not harsh. Some of that is the valving I'm sure. I do carry a whole lot of extra weight up front tho. Maybe as much as 300 lbs + over stock. It was a little too much for 650 lb Eibachs.

Seriously there is no comparison, these are my first suspension seats I wasn't sure what to expect. They help soak up a lot of bumps in the road, fabric feels thick and heavy duty. The seat frame is 3/16 plate, the reclining mechanism is crazy smooth too it's hard to even explain how it feels. I got the optional lumbar support I would recommend that as well it's nice and just feels amazingly supportive. Plus it's a perfect match to the interior. Don't cheap out on other brands, the Mastercrafts are quite a bit more but worth every penny.

I was looking into the seats as well.. What about the mounting? Is it direct fit?

 

Yes direct fit after you chop, bend, drill, weld and swear at it, bolts right up.

Mastercraft only makes seat brackets for the single cab, the front bracket is perfect, the rear one needs the modification. The corners closest to the transmission tunnel aren't even close, it appears that the single cabs mount flat on the floor instead of on the side of the tunnel like ours. You or someone will need to modify that bracket unless you only want 3 of 4 bolts.

Alrighty guys, I have been waffling between wheel specs for a while now, can't decide if 3.5 or 4.5 BS is what I want. Pros and Cons of each? I'm gonna be running 265/75/R16 BFG KO2s just in case that makes any difference

 

Good to hear they are good quality and very comfortable.

I wouldve thought they would bolt right up. Did you get seat sliders for them or do they just not slide?

Has anybody ever tried to do a solid mount on the steering rack? Or is this just asking for a cracked rack?

Dude, that light bar is sick! Those brackets stick up so high you should mount a couple more light bars above your cab!

 

Thinking of converting my steering wheel to one from a '76 pickup. For 10 bucks I figured I could grab it now and decide later.
