Did you have your struts pre assembles or did you do it yourself with the lift jack techneek? I have been wondering if you could compress the springs enough with the weight of the vehicle to get them together. With the heavy duty 886's

When I bought new top hats there was nothing in them. And when I bought replacement bushings it came with 2 bushings and 2 washers for each side.

You can do it without a compressor, but as the 886 are stout- it would be a questionable practice. I would recommend getting them assembled (I bought them off another member pre-assembled).

It also made the install MUCH less stressful, and very easy to do with a few metric wrenches. I took my time and used good grease on everything.

I found it very difficult to find a place that would do it for me around town. And foolishly didn't have wheelers put them together for me.. So I used the lift jack way and it actually was verry easy, fast, and seemed way safer then those little compressors you can buy. But that's on a set of 885's and I was lifting the truck off the stands to get hem together lol

An update on my Ome lift with General HD springs in the back. It's been 1.5 weeks since install and my suspension is now at..
    FL. 22 1/8
    FR. 22 3/4
    RL. 24 1/8
    RR. 24 5/8
So about 1.75 lift in the front, and 2 1/4 in the back.. Wishing I wouldn't have listened to the guys saying I would get 2.5 inches in the front. Should have put in the spacers that I all ready purchased but no biggy it's not hard to swap things out i realize now. I'm going to give it more time to settle and come up with a plan to make some adjustments to get it looking just how I want it. She sure does handle and ride a ton better then it did pre lift.

Just got off the phone with the company I bought them from. They are refunding my assembly fee and they are getting the missing bushing and washers for me. They were very apologetic.

I'm just glad I noticed this before I started the install.

I really really like the look of my rig after I just installed the full ome kit, however I'm kinda bummed to think its going to settle up to an inch or so.... What are my options for bringing it back up that little bit? I know a set of small spacers on the front but how about the rear? Is the Dakar add a leaf my only option? Does anyone have experience with the toytec 1/2" spacer block? I know spacer blocks are a bad idea but just a half inch? It would keep me from having to fully undo my leaf spring pack. Sorry for the bunch of questions. Oh and plus all my tools in the back did end up making it sag 3/4" or so and I'd love to get that back..

I'm going to install the 3/8" top plate spacers I have to gain back another 3/4 of an inch hopefully.. Might even switch to 887 springs some day. I really liked it at 3 inches in the front :3

Finally got my 886 and Dakars delivered! Will be installing next weekend along with my relentless bumper, winch and sliders. I got leaf packs with + signs on both, its silly but over spec on both makes me happy.. slightly more lift :bananadance:

Ok guys I got a question. Will the 886 springs flex just as good as the 885's or 887's? I'm thinking of going with the arb deluxe winch bar bumper and thinking of taking the swaybar off also.
    Thanks

The spring rate is higher so it will take more to compress them than the 885/887s but if you're getting a heavy bumper like that 886s are the way to go.

I went through the same thing. I wont really know until I install next week but I will be sure to report ride/pics when I am done. Seemed like I needed the 886 though with a steel bumper and winch so there is that.

it would be great to here from someone rolling on 886 with winch after 885 without winch and with heavy bumper.

Here is my EMO lift. For the most part everything went pretty smooth. Going in for alignment next Tuesday.
