Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
Haha.. I picture blue t as more of a grumpy older man with a beer belly than as mr slave.

But who knows. Maybe he is the guy that put the sticker on the truck?

If you do it yourself about $100 for parts.

    ...and you're welcome.

I can see your point being in a new town every summer, I used it a little when I first moved here....it would take me on some weird routes at times. It is "ok", still like feeling my way around...figure it helps me learn the streets better. Same for the back country on the dirt bike, like to learn the trails by landmarks. Yeah you get lost sometimes, but that is kinda why I do it. :)

I agree everywhere except the shitty city's. Traffic etc and stupid road layouts down here drive me nuts. If it weren't for gps I would go crazy. Everywhere else I like to explore my way around

Pretty sick. A Sienna body on a Tacoma frame. Built by Toyota for the SEMA show.

    Well, now you're at the $40K mark for a basic truck with diesel...if you're gonna spend $40K...might as well spend $60K...and get a "real-real" truck... :D :p

:D...it just keeps on snow balling... ;)

Oh, I'll stick with the basic Tacoma.

Might get something a smidge bigger when I retire that hold a decent size truck camper, but that is 20 years down the road...and who knows what the trucks and power plants are going to be like then.

Taco is great for now and weekend warrior sheeeeot.

    LOL!

Yep, I go look at everything out there...and always come back to the Tacoma...just a good all-arounder, with legendary reliability.

My plan is to sell one of the houses, buy a camper and hit the road.

Do you have concerns that the Tacoma won't haul the camper as well as you want it to?

Well the taco can tow 6500 lbs which should be well above a mid sized camper.

That's very true. Get what works for you [emoji106] just don't underestimate the taco. I bet a lot of full size owners think it can't tow anything more than an atv.

Yes. Although at that weight bags would be necessary.

True. I wonder what the limiting factor of the taco towing capacity is? Brakes, suspension, weight, size, engine?

We have one rental property, which we will ditch. Pretty sure we will keep the house we live in now, when we retire...kinda bought it with the foresight that it will be the house we retire in.

I used to operate heavy equipment for a living, so I don't want anything too huge...kinda why I downsized to little Toyotas when I quit the construction biz, but I think it needs to be a little bigger than Tacoma if I am going to fulltime in it...maybe a 1 Ton max. Maybe an XP Camper on a F350 Chassis. Spendy, but not coach diesel pusher spendy...and you can go a lot more places.

I really don't want to tow, as I used to do it for a living...kinda over it. Especially towing down dirt roads, towing a trailer offroad isn't the most fun thing to do. The lightest slide-in popup camper for a Tacoma is pushing payload as it is. If I toss a couple dirt bikes on a hitch rack, you blow right pass payload.
