Hey everyone, first post here at TW.

So I installed a new aftermarket stereo in my '13 Double Cab non-JBL, but after firing her up, I lost a ton of functionality. My turn signals don't work, but my hazards do. My horn does work. My reverse lights and camera don't work. Cruise control doesn't work because it's not detecting anything from the PRDNL, which won't leave Park either, unless I press the release button. The dash shows NOTHING regarding the position of the gear shift. P isn't even illuminated. Also, my air conditioning is stuck on heat. I can control the fan, but I can't change where the air is going or what temperature it is. There's also an airbag light on my dash, as well as the TRAC OFF light.

I have no idea what the problem is. All the fuses look good (I checked anything that seemed like it was related), and she starts up fine. The wires are connected fine, I'm pretty sure. I even put the stock head unit back in, but nothing changed.

Help please! I have no idea what I did, and I need this fixed ASAP!

    crap bolted and welded together....
Check every fuse. Sounds like you blew one, but it probably won't be anything you would think radio wise. Go through every fuse, ones bound to be blown.

    Check IGN1 and IGN2 fuses.

Also, you should know that I didn't remove the battery's negative terminal prior to the install. I've done stereos before, and I've never had issues with not removing it. This could be the one that teaches me a lesson though.

ALWAYS dosconnect the battery. Even if 99/100 times it doesn't cause any issues, that one time it does, it blows.

Others above have said it, but check ALL of your fuses, especially IGN1 & 2 like Windsor said

It also sounds like it could be a block of wiring connectors could be unplugged, probably down by the foot pedals. Did you unplug any for testing and forget to plug it back in maybe?

I didn't, but I'll check. Is it possible that by putting the stereo in, I might have crushed some wires or something?

Like others have said, check ign 1 and 2 fuses behind the coin tray to the left of the steering wheel. This happened to me and I replaced the 10 amp fuse and was good to go.

Turn signals didn't work and couldn't move from park without pushing the emergency release. All from a blown fuse.

    I doubt they are crushed.

I fixed it! It was just a blown IGN 2 fuse. Boy, did I feel dumb for not having caught that, but hey at least it's all working now. Thanks for your help, everyone!

From some of the Stories I've heard/read, I'd always disconnect the battery to prevent the air bags from deploying.

Wouldn't that suck? You do it 99 times without disconnecting the battery with no issues, then the hundredth time, your airbags try to kill you, and possibly total your truck... I'd rather not even risk it.
