Figured out the clunking noise when I shifted to drive was the universal joint. There was no other vibs or noise. no bearings left in 2 of the caps

    Yes.
    I installed my lift...

    Looks good right?......

OME Shocks, with 886s in front. OME shocks in the rear.

For anyone who's never seen the stock TRD Billsteins next to a real shock side by side.

Oh, and maybe I installed a 2" lift in the rear as well.....

Getting a front bumper ? 886s are a pretty heavy, stiff coil to have with an oem bumper

I've had mine in for the past couple months now and the ride isn't as bad as people say it is. It rides like a truck. It probably helps I have an ifs skid and sliders to help weight it down some but for the most part it's definitely been a functional and bearable ride. That said there will be additional weight going on in front in a few weeks. :D

    Yes.
It rides better than the last Honda I owned. (Road racing suspension on the road is kind of brutal.)

Eventually after my wallet recovers a bit, I'll be putting a plate bumper, and full set of skids under the truck.

Ohh alright, what's the spring rate on the 886s exactly? Around 600 something and nice!

Haha yea it's all personal feel/preference also. Truck will look good man

I can't get around to the Easy gate without going through the traffic anyway. It should be way better when the fly over is done. Most of the traffic is thru traffic to FWB anyway.

I've had mine in for a couple weeks. I like them. I have them paired with ext. Icon shocks. They are a little stiff, but not jarring with no weight in the back. Yesterday I loaded about 500lbs in the bed. Truck rode very smooth with the weight.

Pretty lightweight stuff here, but I changed my own oil today for the very first time! Never done it in any of my vehicles and my dad doesn't do his own so I had never even seen it done. Ended up taking a little time (trip to Walmart for a 14mm socket, my set stopped at 13 , and a trip to auto zone for a filter wrench, dealership had the filter on MEGA TIGHT! :frusty:.) Also made a slight mess, forgot to open the little air spout so the oil will drain in the bottom of the catch pan quick enough!! :facepalm:Oh well I am proud of myself and will be doing it from now on with hopefully little to no issues! Thanks for everything y'all have taught me so far! Look forward to DIY projects in the future!

No shame in learning. Make sure when you remove old filters that the rubber o-ring comes with it. New one will have its own o ring. Double o-ringing is a recipe for disaster.

I did not really know the old one might stay on, but I did notice that it was on the old filter when I pulled it off! I also could not believe that I could get the toyota filter at the dealer for less than the price of a Fram filter from Walmart! That seemed like a no brainer to go with the original filter to me!

Original filter is a better filter than a Fram.

I learned none of this as a boy. Finally learned the basics on my own. You'll be holding your head a little higher from now on :)
