Hey guys, a buddy and I are planning a 3 night stay up in SW Utah this coming weekend but don't know where to stay. Zion is booked full, but we want to stay somewhere more secluded anyways. Looking to find something like this...Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Close to Zion? How about somewhere along the north rim - whitmore cyn, toroweap, SB, kanab point, point sublime, etc.

We were not opposed to staying somewhere near lake mead or the grand canyon as well. we are coming up from southern california. Are there anymore suggestions? still looking for the perfect spot. Thanks.

Im not very familiar with the NP service but I thought you were not allowed to camp in the National Park unless you were at an actual campground.

True. Pt sublime & toroweap are in the NP & have campgrounds. Used to be that you didn't need reservations for toroweap, but I think that recently changed. The rest of the overlooks are either on blm or national forest land. For the most part, you can camp anywhere you want on the az strip (and SW Utah for that matter) & no one's gonna bother you.

I live in St George. It's 110 or hotter now. You won't last long in a tent. Our air condition runs at nightime. You probably want to go to the high country. I'm heading to Bryce today. Hi's in the 80's, low in the 50's. I was going to go around Jacob Lake (no lake, don't get excited) but there is a fire that's blowing smoke that way. Jacob lake is close to the North Rim. It's all Forestry land.

@adamv22 so whats the plan? I still want to go somewhere. Should we go to Yosemite? Or Lake Tahoe? We need to plan something this week.
