Speaking as a fellow underfunded shorty, I can understand that.

People always bitch about headroom in vehicles and I'm always like "I could totally put a cowboy hat on and still have headroom..."

 

Great read..and don't even think about a Chevy, I had a horror show with my 06 Colorado blowing the top end at 75K

im a control freak too, gotta have a manual

 

I thought I'd miss the manual more than I actually do. I can't say there aren't times I wish i could knock it down a gear to have some fun in the corners, but now that I've got the lift, the last thing I want to do is go too hot into the corner.

Plus, I can always go into the garage to get my 6MT fix. My Xtracab was a 5MT and after dealing with 1st up in the dash, second out by the tailgate and 3rd by the passenger mirror, sometimes it's nice to sit in traffic and not have to do the neutral or 1st debate.

 

Having a manual is a blast, don't think I will buy a car without it. When I bought the Tacoma I got an auto. It is nice to be able to sit in traffic or on the trails without having to shifting.

 

Get the best of both worlds, 2 vehicles one with auto, one with manual.

 

See I'm looking to get rid of the civic for a better road car (crz since I do so many miles) and was thinking about getting an auto. But then when I started looking around I couldn't bring myself to it. Decided on another manual

 

I love my 6mt FJ. So much control.

HOWEVER, I just got finished swapping my brake pads in the rear. They were grinding something fierce lol. Found the culprit


I love the fact my dad's new house has a garage



I drove an hour to Grafton at 10:30 just so I wouldn't be carried away by all the damn mosquitoes at the house in Andover lol

I was looking for a manual when searching for my fj, but found a nice automatic and don't regret getting it. I drive between 25-40,000 miles a year so it will be nice when sitting in traffic. Plus I have a 92 toyota pickup that's a manual for when I want to row gears.

 

I didn't even know it was Friday... Every day is groundhogs day

 

I think I'm just scared to make the move to an automatic. When I first found out I was moving back up to new everyone and gonna be commuting a lot I bought an automatic civic. I had it for a month before I couldn't take it anymore and traded it in
