@DrFunker I did, it wasn't too hard. Just time consuming but I'm thrilled with the stance and ride of it

Nice. How much did you go? Any "after-effects" from it?

Set the bilstein 5100s at 1.75". The only after effects was needing an alignment, better control, and a slightly firmer, but better ride.

    Anyone following this shit?

"Search activity has intensified in Dannemora, NY, as the hunt for two escaped inmates continues. Law enforcement, dogs and helicopters are searching a perimeter set up approximately 3 miles from the Clinton Correctional Facility. Officials have been searching for days but this recent activity appears to be the most significant action to date. We'll update as it comes in, through the night and into the morning as the New York manhunt continues."

I have a friend with a shop out here and got my June sticker the other day. When I got there, a guy was arguing with him because he wouldn't pass him anyway even though his emergency brake didn't work. Manual transmission too.

After he left, he told me the state sends in inspectors with vehicles to see if you'll fail them. A guy who works for him got warned once for letting someone go with 1 out of the 2 license plate bulbs out. He failed someone for another bulb out, but he let the guy drive it into the bay so he got warned about that because according to the state they're supposed to drive it in themselves to check the brakes.

Shop up the road from them got their license suspended for a while, so he said he's being very careful now. He said in all the decades he's been an inspection station he has never seen the state check up as much as they are now.

My old place got suspended when caught having non-inspectors bringing the cars in.

    What I remember:
    1. The inspector must bring in the car
    2. The car is inspected AS IT SITS in the inspection bay- not "Hey, buy a brake bulb and I'll put it in for you to pass" while sitting in front of the inspection machine
    3. Installed HID headlamps=failure. I don't recall why- my thoughts were that since it was not height-adjustable as OEM (Mercedes, Audi, Etc...) that you could be blinding people when turning/ cresting a hill/ and so on.
    4. Aftermarket pipes (ricer cars) were failed

There's more, but I cannot think of them right now.

it's all a racket to tax us more anyways. Basic safety stuff fine, like your brakes are down to the backing pads: that's a legit safety concern. You've got a licence plate light out, come on...

a few years ago I brought my wifes old grand am in for a sticker. Car was in immaculate condition besides a dent just infront of the rear drivers side tailight where my mother in law had backed into my wifes car. Not a huge massive dent, maybe 6" around, 3" deep. This dent had already been there for a few years mind you. Went to a new place to get the sticker since we had just moved. They failed it because they said it had body damage that could cause harm to others. The leading edge of the taillight assembly protruded like 2" since the dent was right in front of it, they claimed it was dangerous...

Shit has got riduculous. I brought her car to another place my neighbor recommended and they just laughed at it and passed it. Now whenever there's something i'm too lazy to do myself or don't have the time/ tools to do I bring our vehicles to the shop that was reasonable with me.

I thought the rule was just that you couldn't have holes through any bodywork.

Not that I have to worry--my truck is a 2011 and if someone hit me, I would have to have it fixed because it would bother me every time I looked at it.

They claimed the leading edge of the protruding taillight could catch on someones clothing and drag them.

If they're that close to you, the person might be in for bigger problems other than being dragged.
