    With some recent research and discussion I've found this to be a better choice than the 13.5

    I wheeled with a guy that has the Goodyear ones and he has blown out 4 on the street, and off road they don't stick to anything. The Baja's look like a nice tire, its just that it seems to be a crap shoot the quality tore that you get.

    Weird. I had almost 50K miles on a set of the goodyears without a single flat, and you'd be hard pressed to find someone harder on tires than me.
    Order the grooved Baja's from trail worthy fab. He only uses 90% or better tires for grooving. My set were brand new, zero miles that I could tell.
    @HomerTaco those STT's are a great tire. I run them on the cruiser and am really happy with them for mountainous terrain. They do fantastic in the snow as well and the only downside is they chunk pretty easy if you spin them in the rocks, but what doesn't.

    This is truth. A good rock tire should have a softer compound which will make it chunk easier. For example, the km2. The key is picking the best tire for your application.

    What's the weight on those military goodyears?

    I got to wheel the 37s a little this past weekend. Didn't get to do a lot because I knew I had to leave early to work out of town the next day.

    So here are a few things I learned.

    -It won't spit CVs and axles out as soon as you kick it into 4lo, despite what most told me
    -The BFGs get great traction on rock, and clean out well in mud/clay
    -Got to use the rear locker once, had the passenger front tire 2-3 feet in the air, tires hooked great, rearend held great
    -the added Ground clearance is awesome, my transfer case skid was untouched
    -Didn't run into any rubbing issues
    -Tires are stiff. I aired down to 22psi and the ride on dirt roads was rough. This was made much worse by my LCA bushing being bad and me not realizing it. I'll be ordering new LCAs soon
    -On 33s I wheeled in 2nd and 3rd gear mostly. With these big, heavy bastards it was 1st and 2nd mostly
    -75mph on the highyway is easy and the tires ride pretty good for a stiff heavy mud tire. I have no desire to go much more than 75mph in the truck, but it could
    -my clutch doesn't like these tires, but it has 220k on it so it needs to be replaced soon anyhow
    -I believe if I fix a few other issues I have (wear items mostly) and add a crawlbox this thing will be a BEAST


    Overall I'm really damn happy with it. Still have a lot of work to do, but I'm taking a couple weeks off
