I like how the chevy looks also, but agree that it's wind breaker on the bottom is excessive. Looking at them like that, it seems that chevy took a big clue from toyota on the front end styling. I still like my taco better.

Thought the new tacoma has a huge windbreaker thing as well (on the sport model anyway, offroad doesn't have it). I'm sure in both cases they can be removed, or torn off on the trail...which ever comes first. Funny thing is, that looks like the z71 chevy, which is the offroad model.

Price of them put me off. I'm not paying that for a Chevy when I can get tried and true dependable Tacoma for much less.✌️

A guy at work bought the GMC version. It does ride nice but not a big difference from my 09 Prerunner. If you polish a terd it's still just a terd.

With that massive air block, Is there even enough ground clearance to drive over a parking block ?

Not impressed with the looks of the Chevy, not saying its ugly, just that the Taco stilll has it beat looks wise.

It looks like a shrunken full size rig, not sure if thats a good or bad thing.

The front air damn has got to go. Haven't seen them side by side before to notice that, otherwise, there are some design similarities. Not ready to go truck shopping, but I'd have to at least give it a look. I haven't really warmed up to the looks of the '16 Taco just yet.

My father had a 02 chevy. It was a piece of shit. I have a Tacoma and while I originally thought that Toyota could do better, I'm beginning to wonder. In my short 8 months of owning my truck I've snapped a leaf, the clutch was repaired at the dealer 5 times and the radio just went.
Don't get me wrong, I love my truck but I'm beginning to think that any vehicle from any auto maker is just luck of the draw. I like the Colorado and as of now would not rule it out for my next truck. I trusted Toyota but as of late I don't know of their reliability is all that much better.

The GMC really does look a lot better than the Chevy version, but still isn't ideal for an offroad truck. Then again... I don't really use the taco offroad as much as I'd like and honestly would rather have a full-time on road truck and a jeep for offroad use.
