Not a big fan of HID's. I would love a good retrofit option for an LED projector though. I like the instant on/off, relatively low power consumption, long lifespan and low maintenance of an LED. If the retrofit source ever puts together a good LED projector kit I'd be first in line

Is that the X.DRL 1? Getting closer to what I'm after :)

I saw a guy online hack up one of the Mini H1 projectors to make it work "properly" with LED bulbs. If I can find it again I'll post a link. It looked a lot more involved than I'd like though... I'm kind of just hoping TRS comes out with a kit for me :)

After work today I took this stuff

    And put it in here

and it looked like this before I buttoned it back up

I'm hoping that this helps with all the noise from my light bar and roof rack. When I have some time I plan on doing the doors and floor as well to help with road noise.

did a 400km road trip yesterday to check out the Dynamat. It reduced the wind noise but it's not as big of a difference as I had hoped. Down the road I'll probably add a layer of the thick foam stuff now that I know there's a ton of room up there.

Also just ordered a heated mirror kit from a guy on here. It should ship out this week so I'll be looking to do the install soon-ish. Realistically sometime in the next 2 months :D

..also got a package Ebbs forwarded to me. Whatever fastenal we were at in Denver is completely useless. I ordered some t slot nuts and gave the guy one to measure and match up. A few minutes with a caliper later, he apparently ordered some that are not even close to the right size. Like.. half the size. Soooo I found some of the right ones on ebay and paid way too much for them. The crush gaskets for my new Y pipe were also in the box from Ebbs so I can finally get that installed! Woot

Not worth the hassle man. Shipping costs, you driving way out of your way.... it was like 40 USD or something.

I got my ditch lights in the mail today. I picked up some of the 30W Osram 4D pods. I'm excited to get these and my CBI ditch light brackets installed, although it doesn't really get dark this time of year to test them out. I like the look of these a lot and I'm hoping the light pattern is good. Photo is from google for reference

Initial impressions on the new Y-pipe: Under normal driving no difference in sound/power. Hard acceleration and high RPM it's louder with a bit of a raspy sound. I don't notice any power difference, but I don't have a very sensitive butt dyno either. From some dyno's I've found around the internets it should gain 10hp or something.

Great! The dealership got it in last week and it's on a shelf waiting for me to get down there to have it installed. They're 1000 miles away and it being construction season I'm working 70+ hours a week, so I think it'll be sitting on a shelf until September when I have plans to be down there for a wedding. This living in the north thing has its drawbacks, but I guess I wouldn't be able to buy superchargers if I was still on a southern salary.

Works great wheeling on the supplied mounting disc. I've been putting it directly to the Panavise a lot lately, but I think the paint on the Panavise makes for a less solid magnetic connection. It's good on the road, but has fallen off a couple times while bouncing around on the rocks.

In less exciting news, I think I've tapped my truck mod budget for the year (and then some). My stock battery wasn't lovin' the cold last winter so I may end up doing the dual battery set up in the fall, but otherwise I'll just be installing the pile of stuff sitting in the garage and waiting for next year to buy moar.

Rear bumper and rear suspension overhaul coming up next spring!
