LT has a lot more uptravel. If he keeps the cans where they are with SOA, he'll be bumping it way short when he goes to LT.

i bet it's about 1-1.5" difference. Marcs bumps off the top of his leaf pack. Thenoeafs are almost as thick as the axle that will sit on top of the new SUA leafs.

And since he is relocating shocks then he can place them with the SOA setup so he gets just as much up travel or damn close.

If anything if it does bump it 1" short then he can lower the shock mount and get that much more down travel.

    Or am I missing something??

Grab a tape measure. You'll figure it out real quick.
What's the point of building LT rear end if you're going to bump it short. 1.5" of lost bump travel is almost 10% of overall travel. You want all the bump travel you can get for the go fast shit.

I think you're both missing it. He's talking forward/rearward mounting position; as in if the axle will still bump to the same location.

And the answer for me was no change from SOA to Defines SUA.

The axles on my rig have new stock boots on them, my spare set has the sdhq boots. No issues yet I'd just go with a new set. Also paint the shafts after you build them because they will rust.

HIGHLY suggest having a set of axles built prior to install...that's the worst part of the whole thing. Don't forget new CV axle grease for the rebuild.

Makes sense. Reason I ask is I'm getting the frame straightened and boxed. Was thinking of getting hydros welded while its all apart but I can't quite afford LT yet :/
Yea I wasn't sure if DMZ front hangers are supposed to mount further forward or if the leaf packs are longer

In theory the bump pad should be in the same space foward/back wise, just possibly higher due to more uptravel.

This, and if you just make your bump cans longer then you can always cut them shorter when you do SUA

    Ok cool, will do.

That's the plan, while I'm waiting for the coilovers to be built I'm going to mess around and build the axles. CV axle grease? Is this something found at my local autoparts store?

Hey guys I've been looking for a factory elocker for awhile now and haven't had any luck on the buy/sell/trade forum. Does anyone on here have a factory elocker either sitting around or that they are soon swapping out? I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with finding one. Thanks
    :fingerscrossed:
