Some of those lakes are the "lower" lakes, and you can hike up above them to get to more remote areas. Chinns Lake is a place you can almost drive to the shore and park, type of camping. I think Loch Lomond and Kingston Peak are just down the road, and could be more remote.

Ok people is it safe to mix reg brake fluid and synthetic brake fluid? Both being dot 3

 

I did a google search and it seems that all brake fluid is synthetic, which I assumed as there is nothing natural about it. The confusion comes with silicon based brake fluid, like dot 5, which you never want to mix.
So apparently it's ok as long as they have the same dot rating.
The term synthetic is becoming a marketing ploy apparently.

 

Yeah I just read the same thing its all synthetic 3&4..its a labeling thing that confuses people..

Yesterday I competed in one of the hardest competitions I've ever done in the Army. There was 11 teams of 15 people on each team competing with 10 events:

1 mile 5 gallon water jug run with our ruck sack on
4 mins to drag 4 giant ass chains down about 40 yards and back as many times as you can
4 mins to push a Hummvv down and back
4 mins to run with a sand bag down and back as many times as you can
4 mins to flip an LMTV tire with the rim in it as many times as you can
4 mins of push-ups as many as you can (we knocked out 1097 as a whole)
As many pull-ups as you can (by this event my shoulders were dead so I did about 12 pull-ups lol
4 mins to carry a heavy ass log down 50 yards and back as many as you can
4 mins to carry a litter with 120lbs of sand bags down and back 30 yards as many as you can (doesn't seem like much weight especially with 4 people but here is where my legs were about to fail me haha
4 mins to run down and back buddy carries with gas masks on

Out of the 11 teams we took 1st place which is funny and epic cuz we beat the entire battalion here and we don't even fall under them. We're here on a special assignment so we just have 40 people total and still put together a beast of a team to beat them. Feels pretty good!

Went to Fan Fest earlier. Not as good this year. Toyota wasn't even there representing.
