My dealer asked if I wanted to preorder one. Basically wanted a $500 dollar deposit. Then when all the specs and option packages are released they would call me back and get the right truck for me. I believe OZ-T is talking about the same thing.

Waiting to order. Got call from my dealer the other day. Said he will be taking my deposit soon and will call when ordering is available. Said training is coming up shortly and then allocations will be given. Hope I get a chance at one. Can't decide on the trd sport longbed or limited.

I personally will wait till the dealers have a bunch on the lot. Checked last night and one dealer in the Phoenix area had 53 2015 Tacoma's on the lot.

For those buying or pre ordering, it will be interesting what type of deal you are able to cut.

Let down from what? A ridgeline, a colorado, a ford ranger, a raider. I love the 2nd Gen tacoma, I can't believe 3rd Gen would be a let down.

It tows more than first tundra, doesn't have a cassette player and outdated interior, has same payload, will get better gas mileage, and is made for customers hell bent on reliability.

Give me a break Debbie Downer

Uhhhh you know for sure all these things. You don't even know the price.

I would rather be a Debbie downer than a Danny denial.

Why are some of you saying you hope you are able to get one. Do you believe Toyota isn't going to make enough for you to get one?

Maybe I'm a different kind of consumer. I wouldn't buy anything that cost more that $100 without doing some research and real world reviews. How can anyone make a decision on buying it without reading a few test drives by automotive professionals and seeing how the general public likes and uses it? I need to know the real world mileage, towing performance from a real test, real specs not just assumed ones, etc, etc, etc. Most important, I'm going to let a couple of years of other guinea pigs see what they experience. I will be looking for a new vehicle in 4 years and by then we should see how it stacks up to everything else on the market. I'm loyal to good quality and while Toyota seems to be in the game for me now, others may come along.

That's it then. No cassette player is a deal breaker.
