super excited! Just got home with my new ride.

    2015 TRD Off Road

I need some help with my first mod :)

I'd like to get new wheels for it but keep the tires. What size rim should I be looking for (tires are 265/70/16)?

    Thanks!

get rid of the rugged fails when you buy new wheels. You will be happy you did.

www.discounttire.com has some good deals on wheels. I got mine from there, and been really happy with them.

Your rims are 16", so if you're looking to keep the tires then stick with 16"

Congrats on the truck. If you plan on keeping the suspension stock but you want new tires/rims I would go up one size 265/70r17 or 265/75r16, they're close to 32" (31.7") and the largest size tires you can go without rubbing. If you're going with a 2"-3" lift and don't mind possibly doing some trimming, 285/33" seem popular around here on TW.

Nice looking truck! Welcome to TW!

16x7 or 16x8 wil fit those tires nicely.

Awesome color. Definitely think about getting rid of the rugged fails if your getting new wheels.

Nice truck, but as others have mentioned, drop those Rugged Fails ASAP, money would be better spend on good tires rather than wheels.

Love the truck. Exactly like my 14 looked a year ago - love the color. First mod should be tinted windows. Congrats.

Nice truck. I have same color on my SR5.

I'd have to remove the pinstripes. But that's a personal preference.

    Keep your TRD wheels,
    They are 16x7,

    Maybe replace the tires though.

Congrats on a sweet truck, Love the color BTW. :burnrubber:

Y'know, before dropping any major coin on your new ride (Nice, by the way) I would do a few of the TW mods ie; fog light anytime, etc, tint the glass, make your own determination regarding your rugged trail tires, etc. Some of the opinions expressed here may not consider how YOU use your truck and why be like everyone else. ps, I like the pin striping.

It's been a long time since I've seen pin stripes on a new tacoma! When did they start doing that again?

I really like that color! Congrats to you.
I might suggest driving it a while, as you drive it, before going $$$ into mods.
    Good luck to you.

Keep the wheels, they look great once you throw on some different tires. I actually did the new rim and tire thing, ended up going back to stock rims and some nice 265/75/16's.

I personally think aftermarket rims are a pain in the butt. You need hub centric or you could get vibes on your new truck and the offset can make larger tires rub on you pretty new truck. I love the look of some more aggressive AT tires on the stock rim, and you know the OEM's are tough, light and hub centric.
