Loctite rust dissolver naval jelly.

So I bought this product for surface rust on my frame. Rubbed it all over and 30 minutes later took a look and the rust was gone used some steel wool and a wire brush and no more rust. Just throwing it out there for anyone not aware of the product. It was pretty cheap and worth a shot. Did this before painting the frame and I'm happy with the results.

Suprized you didn't know about Naval jelly before... Great product and has been around since at least 1970, probably even before that.

You just need to use care as it has a couple of acids in it that can cause irritation or blindness.

 

I'm Definetly behind the times. Just happy it fixed my problem. Will be keeping a jar handy from now on.

 

Just phosphoric acid in a jellied base. Good stuff and been around forever.

 

Gotta love phosphoric acid. Thats why us old timers used CocaCola to remove rust on our massive chrome bumpahs.
