How and where (on the frame that is) did you bend the frame?

Went alittle too hard in Moab, too much weight in the bed and not enough suspension to compensate...lol

Haha yea this all couldn't have been caused by one jump. I think the dunes in Moab were the final blow to stress the frame since the bump plates were probably flattened already

 

Wow you definitely know where the skinny pedal is! But hey your using your truck. As long as the shop can straighten it out! But it would be a great excuse to link it! Just need to buy the right lotto ticket.

 

Indeed it would be! But it is the excuse I needed to buy hydro bumps finally Instead of just fixing the frame, TommyGunFab in Mesa will flatten it back out, box the whole frame starting at the back of the cab, and gusset the cross members or make new ones if need be. I really don't know how much more it'd cost to link it vs going with a DMZ kit...

 

I've got Tim's kit on mine that he installed. Love the kit but it probably wouldn't have been that much more to have linked it after DMZ boxed everything up.

 

I've been checking out the engage kit for the last hour....

@T4C0CH40S Remove bed, cut off bent part, make a fully boxed in frame from the cab back is your best bet.

 

Someone want togive me some good valving options (compression, rebound and flutter) for when I eventually go LT? Plans are 50-60 mph-ish in rough terrain, plan to run 2.5x8 in the front and some 16" (maybe 18") triples in the rear.

 

DMC that's one of the nicest builds on this forum. Any plans to paint the fiberglass?

 

YES! I can't wait to paint them. Just saving up some cash to do so. The wife is pregnant so money has been going to more important things lately

Aaron post occasionally on IG, but ya he's seems to be out enjoying life lol, his truck is pretty much back to blue now.

 

Question, is the Solo Motor mount gusset kit good for 2011+ trucks, or is it like the DMZ kit that only fits on the older models that had the cave in problems? I know Toyota beefed up the motor mounts a little bit in like '08 I think, but I'd like to buff them up just a bit more
