    Everyone still happy with these? I might be picking up a 2015 4x4 6 speed soon and I'm doing my research now into the 6 speeds. I'm still on the fence about manual vs automatic for offroad purposes, as I'm supercharging and going Long travel front and back...but I really think I could have some fun with a manual :)

    I love having the manual for everyday driving, and this stick makes it even more fun. However...
    It doesn't make the truck a race car. Shifts are notchy, and the stock shifter buffers that.
    Before this new bracket the shifter is forward right of the old position. I don't mind since there is more room and I'm putting a cb there. Homertaco is putting more sticks in there. So. Plus or minus.
    The stock shifter is rubber isolated so hides lots of gear noise.

    Lastly, Offroad is better since I can slap a gear faster, but around me the mud can get really slick. In those conditions it is easy to stall on downhills when you are trying to use throttle steer, and brake at the same time. Buddy's with autos have less work through the same places. Manual will keep you on your toes for sure!

    I like having a manual also. Even with the short shifter there's still no way to run through the gears like an auto would. If you have never driven a 6-speed Taco, I would suggest you take one for a test drive. I love mine, but it might not be what you imagined it to be like. One thing I found out is that 285's aren't that bad on the 6 speed because it's geared a little lower.

    Well, I'm gonna start out with 295/75/16 and regear to 4.56, just really going back and forth on auto vs manual. I guess it will all come down to what's in stock when I go buy

    4.56 is high for 295's unless you plan to go 35's eventually.

    If I could do it again I'd go with 4.10

    Any issues with this shifter breaking like the URD can? Does this replace the whole assembly or use the whimpy lower half of the stock shifter?

    I received mine in the mail today. When I tried to install it, however, I discovered that the plastic bushing that fits into the transmission doesn't actually fit. I measured it out to be 0.010 inch too large. It may not seem like a lot, but it's enough to make installation nearly impossible. Did anyone else have this problem and do you have any ideas how to deal with it?
