Only 55% of Austin is like that. It gives the rest of us normal people a bad name.

What?!?! I live near enough to it to see how messed up traffic gets because of it. Of course, there are only two 2-lanes roads to get in and out of there. This stupid city council keeps approving construction without first forcing road improvements.

    Morons.

Only crime around here would be asking a 2nd Gen question in the wrong forum. Or mentioning the lack of Diesel engines (please don't ever do that - see the 3rd gen thread for why).

Here? You're good. Welcome to TW!

Everyone outside of Austin is really nice (Bastrop, Round Rock etc.) But I can't stand the people that live in the city. Went and visited some friends at t.u. (UT for you non ags) and I can honestly say it was the worst place I've ever been in TX. Would be an awesome place if different people lived there lol. Not saying everyone there sucks, but the people who represented Austin were not the best haha. Nothing like college station where you get "Howdies" everywhere you go, but that may be a tad biased:p

I've been trying to class this place up for 3 years now to no avail. I've lived in round rock and now in Pflugerville. It's normal out here. I'd never live in the city. The money people will spend to have "Austin" in there address is just stupid. I'll be out here getting my dollars worth! The irony is... My jobsite is on the t.u. Campus.

    Thanks and Gig 'em

Nice to see another Ag on here  been thinking of starting up a thread to try and get us all out to the chicken or something lol. But yeah my gf's parents moved from Houston to Bastrop and the people out there are way nicer than the inner city folks I've seen

I work with a couple guys that commute from bastrop to dt Austin. Apparently it's less than 30 minutes. I may try to find some land out there in the future. It's a nice area.

I was going to ask if there was an aggie thread. I'll do my damndest to get to CS for a game or two. We'll see how it works out.

Deep South side isn't ruined. I managed to get a decent spread in the SW, with a nice yard and a good sized one-story house. Best of all, my driveway is long enough for a DCLB.

I have a buddy that's in south Austin. It's a nice neighborhood across from moontower. It seems normal there. He's the only one I know down there.

Ha! I live 1/4 mile from the Moontower. Great food trucks, and even better music.

Yeah it's a cool place. I haven't seen any music there. But I've been a couple times. Seems like a cool music venue though. I'll have to check it out when the next concert is there.
