    I have been working for a contracting company in upstate ny for time warner for the last 2 yrs and we all just got laid off today. This sucks does anyone know of any openings? Ik the economy sucks but I need something.

    I love those time Warner commercials where the guy is asking about satellite tv. and gets all mad about it being subcontracted out.. the my friends say that time warner has subcontractors doing cable phone installs.

    Sorry about your job though, But it seems time warner is always hiring for cable around here. obviously you must have some electrical experiance, so try verizon, or even some other contractors.

    yeaup here time warner guys just do maint. work and service work we do all the upgrades installs for phone rr and dig cable. And I did take electrical in college.
    I also just heard some news that Time Warner is hiring 3 in house techs because the work load has increased so much by letting us go so im gonna give it a shot.

    yea im filling today 1st time ive ever been on unemployment i hate it all ready im bored out of my mind and i cant do anything until i figure out how much im gonna get on unemployment.

    Yeah sorry man again. Theres been a lot of laying off happening in my town to but they all worked for the casinos. They dont give 2 shits about their employees! All they care is about the dollar dollar bills!!! I used to work for them when I first moved out here for about 3 years, then started working for the FD. Glad I got out of that buisness.:eek:

    Good luck finding a job. I've been unemployed almost 2yrs now with nothing in site. Can't even get part time work here in the SW. Ebay's been keeping me alive but not by much. I've been living with my folks. My mom can't find work and my dad hasn't been fully paid from his job in the past 5 months and they have nothing left. Don't know what were going to do.
