    3'' lift front,2'' add a leaf back,Bigger tires
    20150628_091838.jpg Hi there,
I'm new here and need some help. I just installed a 3" front lift/2" rear lift (add a leaf) and since then I have a clunking noise when I steer all the way left or right. This is only happening when the wheels are in motion, not when stationary. Front lift kit includes spring spacers, 1" lowering differential and lowering sway bar. Has anyone had the same problem?

Diff drops do absolutely nothing for our second gen Tacoma's. Did you add UCA's and get an alignment after the install?

Thank you for your response. After I posted, I continued looking into it and it seems to be normal with the kind of lift I have. I found that lifted Tundra has same issue. Solution seems to be longer struts on the front. Theoretically you should not have any issues, I just hope someone else out there has had the same problem and discover a cheaper solution...Thanks

No stock control arms and yes wheel alignment is a must! And yeah the shop said diff drop is only needed on 1st gen

So you did the alignment. Do you have the sheet they give you afterwards with numbers. Something is off

You need the sheet after the alignment to see what your numbers are

Please ignore everything i wrote before ....look at pics and tell me what's wrong. English is not my first language and i was thinking that the things you see above springs are spacers... maybe i'm wrong.

I can see the spacer now. I would have researched more and not wasted money on spacers. But like I said you had it aligned. What was your final caster number?

I'm sorry but am i the only one seeing what he did here?? look at the nuts that he used on the spacer compared to the nuts that are used on the top of the strut mount. Im my mind you used OEM nuts on the spacers while you should have switched what you have on there now, the short flat nuts are meant to go on the spacer while the OEM nuts are meant to lock onto the top of the spacer.

    Yes
lowering your diff and inch and changing the CV angle by a couple of degrees is " absolutely nothing " ? ...and why are you being a condesending jerk and bashing what the guy just bought and is probablly excited about and proud of...why do so many people on this forum bash other peoples stuff..just fkn rude. Why can't you just help him with trouble shooting his problem without interjecting that bullshit ?

it looks like the coil is just resting on those bots with nothing holding it in place, thats probably your clunking. your coil is bouncing around

this is how it should look
