Well do it right or don't do it at all... Being cheap now means spending more money in the future. More than you would have if you just do it right the first time. And you really don't need a diff drop... It doesn't bind at all fully drooped

Who is being a jerk. Take a poll dimwit and ask all the members on here about diff drops. Nobody is getting bashed, right now you are the only one bashing anyone. Since when is telling someone the truth about a topic that has pounded down to glass on here time and time again bashing? Do a search asswipe before you comment.

i have no idea what those are but the silver bolts look like they dont align with the rusted ones so to me that says its not connected and just resting there. when the wheel drops down and the shock/coil extend the pressure on those bolts is going away causing it to bounce around when it rebounds. just my opinion.

I think your right about the nuts or maybe the spacer is on upside down
The spacer he used is offset from oem bolts so not sure

He is absolutely correct. The diff drop doesn't do anything for the 2nd gen Taco's. You are actually rotating the differential with them.

Asking a simple question like did he get new upper control arms and an alignment are standard questions for a situation like this to try to find out what is happening.

Before calling someone rude and condescending you might want to reread what you wrote before hitting the post button good sir.

OP something looks kind of odd in your setup. The bolts may be too long and hitting inside the spacer and causing the noise. I haven't seen a setup that looks like that before (with the bolts that long).

a top plate spacer has the slots for the new bolts to run through. just putting an inch or so space between the top plate and the coil. it shouldnt inhibit the bolt from running up through to the stock location. i dont see a spacer in there at all, it looks like there are two sets of bolts that are keeping the coil from coming in contact with the top plate

i can almost guarantee that he didn't set up the spacer right those nuts and what not are wrong 100%. it looks like he used a square spacer nut so that they would tighten down all the way. OP the reason they may have seemed wrong is because they look like lock nuts. so they get a little more difficult to tighten down... i would take it apart and switch the nuts personally

The bolts on a spacer lift are normally offset like that. But that shouldn't relate to when he is steering all the way to one side. I would guess it's something with the diff kit you used

Save up and get that inferior lift off, and diff drop off when you can. Good Luck

Bingo on both counts. Diff drop lowers the front of the diff, merely rotating it, and dropping the axels a small fraction. Unchained is simply seeking info to help the guy. I don't see any bashing or the like.

Is there a chance his chunking could be tires rubbing? What size tires did you put on?

I also thought this may be possible because he said it was only when moving but it could also be something else.
