so i bought my truck used, no idea who the previous owner was or how it was driven etc..etc.. its an 05 4x4 reg cab with 48K on it now. i bought it at 41K, the first thing i did was change all the driveline fluids. changed them all with 75-90 mobil one synthetic. the tranny was kinda notchy before i changed the fluids, afterwards it seemed a bit smoother. now that its gettin colder outside, until the truck(and tranny fluid i'm sure) warm up, its way harder than it should be to put in any gear. after i drive about 15 min or so, it does become a bit easier but is still harder than it was in the summer. 1st to 2nd is miserable, if i'm at a stop sign or something, 2nd to 1st is damn near impossible even if i'm stopped. 2nd to 3rd isnt much better than 1st to 2nd, after that its much easier. i also noticed that when its cold, in the first few min i drive the truck (like the first few times i times i start out from a stop) the truck shudders no matter how i feather the clutch in. i dunno if this is another cold weather issue or if the previous owner beat the shitout of the clutch. is this typical shifting for these trannies in colder weather, or do i have another issue i should have looked at before i hit my 60K mile marker?

2-1 shift is real tough until you get to 2 mph, my 08 is that way, it can be notchy too.
Try geting r.p.m.s near 3000, not fast, but steady, then try shifting, mine prefers that.
The shudder I'm not sure on. Mine, from 0mph, has a small lurch as I let the clutch out and I'm blaming me until I figure it out. Your shudder could be a beat clutch or plate.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Try switching to dyno oil in the tranny. I would suggest Rotella 75-90. Save the mobil since you haven't used it much. Everything you mentioned indicates a fluid issue.
