I know Joe has ruined you thinking about 40's but I'd worry about the power aspect compared to 37's since you drive everywhere. I have no room to talk though since I lug around 37's with my 3rz :p

Depending how far he moves the axle forward. And another thing he is running forward shackles so on compression the leaf will bring the tires forward. Less tubbing should be required.

Bullcrew and rctoy: I couldn't remember if you guys were running 40s but thanks for those pics. It will probibly be something in between both of those.

I'd rather not stretch a 4dr wheelbase over what's there...lol it starts to get too long....
I think i 124 or close...I moved the rear as midge forward as well....I have no desire for a 130" wheelbase...I'd like to snub mine to 120 but it works where it's at so no complaints.

Im actually on 42's now but later on in life will be pushing up to 44's Im 131 wheel base and it does screw me at times but more often than not it helps on climbs and being so tall hit helps me stay planted.

@Supra TT here is what I came up with for the trams mount.

Also got started on the rear end. The stock springs were just a little bit bent, and one of the leaves was even broke in half.

Why does nobody seem to run rears up front on a Tacoma?

Probably won't support the weight of the truck so you'll need to add leafs.

I think Tacoma rears are longer and don't have a short side like the early trucks. Big advantage to RUF seems to be moving the axle forward. Then most Taco guys don't have pre-taco leafs laying around.

They are super soft and only have a few leafs. You can try adding leafs to the pack and be a trail blazer, it could be the greatest leaf suspension ever! Shit I'm doing a RUF with fj60 leafs lol!!

I was going to add my taco leafs to a set of waggy leafs, but I got the fjs for the perfect price... Free!!
