Tacoma Mods: How Much Have You Spent?

Just a trailer hitch for me . All of my fun money goes into my 2 wheeled love afair.

I do want to upgrade the suspension but just a chin lift, some good shocks,& bigger wheels/tires to smooth out the ride.

Do you have any pictures with the skid on? I take it you are no longer using the 1" spacer?

 

I spend $350 on EXTANG TUFF TANO COVER and another around $110 on Weathertech cover. I am planning to buy a car tho if I can sell my 2010 Taco.

Just crossed the $10k since May! I could have bought a truggy and a trailer!

 

ive spent on all the little things and big things for my truck close to 10k but it is not a waste to me it is definatly a hobby....expensive one at that

 

i guess i cant take back my poll anymore.. well i pretty much about reached the 10k portion.

 

I've owned 5 german cars (2 at a time) for the last 15-20 years and haven't spent a total of $5 k on repairs or upgrades (including tires/brakes/oil changes/tune ups, insurance deductables) in the last 15 years! Boy these Toyotas are EXPENSIVE!!!

 

The only question I have for myself which I haven't 100% figured out yet is:

Why can't I be content with stock?

So far its that I have the knowledge, community, resources, and terrain to build and apapt to, but so do a lot of other people. Maybe I'm just an unhappy person because modifying to make it better (imo) is a good idea.

 

$60 for my lights to get "smoked"
$75 for my limo tint
$20 for my dash kit
$125 for my stereo
$170 for the two 10" Kicker comps and an alpine mono block
$100 for the new 12" L5 sub
$38 for materials to make a new sub enclosure
$1113 for new wheels and tires
$240 for an Autopage alarm
= $1941.00 (I still need to re-tint the window that someone broke, weathertech floor liners, URD exhaust and intake)

 

crap i forgot the paint to colormatch bumper, new grille, and scooped hood. add $400 more

 

5100 upgrade installed $300 I think + free TSB
TRD LSD installed $300
upgrade to sport wheels from steel $550
Roof Rack $300
Devils Horn $50 I think

 

tires 600 but that was maintence so i dont think of as a mod

I would like to re choose my answer and say close to 2500 dollars.

 

I'm above 6k now. Thinking back, I could have long travel now.

 

2,200(guess prolly too low) and thats not including the stuff Ive bought and sold off of it. What sux is im no where near done.

soon gonna drop a few more pesos to go spring under with bypasses me thinks
