Before I paint my spindles, does anyone notice the grinder marks on the spindles, once installed? Debating on taking a flap disc to the whole spindle before painting...

yes. non tsb leafs. i'll have to measure again. but when i had 885s and the 1.5 rear i was about 24 5/8 front and 25 flat rear.
now its a little nose high. looks really pronounced in the pics because i was parked on an incline.
debating on a icon 3 leaf and keep the overload.

I would really recommend to anyone looking to bring the rear back up to buy an actual leaf pack and not an AAL. I'd say the majority of people that put AAL on our shitty OEM leaf packs end up replacing them within a year as the OEM leaf packs just deteriorate quickly and an AAL is basically just a bandaid on a gunshot wound

Guys NOT an opinion here But FACT !

So much so I'm on my second set of factory leaf packs in less than a year, 1st set which I bought with the truck and added a single AAL immediately and the ride height was perfect, the second set was with a newer set of leafs and an Icon 3 leaf pack and it is also now sagging.

My AllPro Standards are now on the way, don't make the mistake I did, the factory leafs don't make the cut especially if you haul things that have some heft or take it off road much . . .

You Sir are the Exception and not the rule , I should have clarified that this is Fact for Double Cabs, the action cabs don't suffer from this . . .

My leaf packs are going away with my new setup. I am going with EMU 2.75 set to compliment the 4 inch spindle. My factory leaf pack at 24000 miles is flat.

It should be level. I have about 1 3/8 height difference from front to rear now. I may need to shim later. As long as I am close to level I will be happy.

Hey guys. This is my first post although I haven't purchased my Taco yet (I'm still diving my Nissan). I've been lurking for quite awhile and have read literally thousands of pages here, including the 328 of this thread. So much information and really good people.
I'm looking at buying a 2012-2015 prerunner with a rear locker. I'm a research fanatic, so I want it all finalized in my head before I begin.
I've decided on the 4" Maxtrac with either fox or icon on the front end (looking at ADD front bumper) preloaded to about 2" for 6 inches of total lift. I also plan to run alcan custom springs to achieve 4" of lift on the rear (avoiding blocks). YotaMatt and AZTRDsport have the look that I am using as my model. My question is this: with this rear setup how long will my rear shocks need to be (extended, compressed and travel). Does Icon, Radflo, King or Fox make a good shock for this application or what brand is recommended? Any other recommendations are also appreciated.
    Thanks!

Firstly the all pro expos will yield 4" of lift at the cost of a stiff spring rate, some people are willing to make that sacrifice to get that amount of lift and not have to spend the extra money. With that being said my 5100's in the rear are rated for 3-4" of lift and they measure 16.34" collapsed and 27.28" extended. Check out headstrong offroad to get some icons made to those or similar specs.
