I don't think they move the axles. It was done because they are longer and flex better, and Toyota mini truck guys used to be the cheapest bastards on earth and its what they had laying around so they started swapping them up front. That title has unfortunately been handed off to the samurai guys, shame!!

I may give it a try. I'm sure I can find some rear packs for cheap to experiment with. I'm doing outside the box shit with the rear suspension so why not do something different with the front too

Exactly. I'll still have the TG leafs to put back in if it doesn't work.

Just look at the build thread
The Superduty axles have very little room on the short side tube due to the spring perch casting. There are ways to work around it but it's all personal choice. I was looking at one for my build but decided I didn't want to mess with it. I'd rather wait until I find an earlier model axle.

Hows the stability? I was reading that narrow springs can make things unstable, curious on real world feedback.

Feels great so far, they are actually moving like they are supposed to. I did get a little more body roll on the street but I still whip it around town like a race truck with zero feeling of unstability. Before it was stiff as a board though, seriously almost no body roll. It still doesn't feel like it leans as bad as my old 82 on 63's and ruf's.

And FWIW, I'm pulling that travel with only 10" shocks...

On another note, when slugging tube on this exo cage how much 1.5" tube should I slide down in the 1.75"? An inch or two on either side of a joint?

Wheres the cheapest place to find the t100 oil pan and pickup tube, besides the junkyard. You will have better luck finding a lambo in the junkyards around here than an older Toyota truck.
