even if the corporation coined it .. or not, its so obvious of a short name everyone and anyone started saying it on their own. HMMMV became hummer for short, G.P. became jeep, etc. Just say taco without fanfare.... like this thread sems to be doing:p

lets thread lock this due to a lack of direction

ya, anything ever stating are you "offended by" should be traced to op and they should be hurt...mostly....i think if anyone is offended by anything they dont like they can do something else...it is stupid to live in a free country..wher eyour only free to do what someone else lets you...do your thing, screw political correctness. The best part of fight club was when they blew up all the cc companies records and banks and crap...man, one can only dream

I liked "TACO" for a nickname as soon as i saw a Tacoma owner post the nick before we even owned one. We go on adventures with our TACO, we call them TACO-Time. We haul an Aliner EASE off-road-ready trailer...We call it the TACO-Liner. And our favorite on-the-way to the trail head fast food joint is. . . TACO-Bell.

    : )

When i put in a Chevrolet 327 under the hood of our 1975 FJ40 i had the choice of calling it a TOYolet or a ChevOTA.

    Talk about nick-names!

    Happy Trails,
    Thom
