I love the juxtaposition of the question posed and the statement that your children have produced nine children.

I just flew home yesterday also. Worst flight experience ever via Spirit Airlines.

Btw - I love the fact you are calling someone, young enough to be your child, "gramps."

I pretty much only fly Southwest and have rarely had a problem. I hear way to many horror stories about cheaper budget airlines.

Hey now I am 40. So not sure I could be his kid. :D
Yeah I quite flying Frontier at the beginning of the year because they are pretty much turning into a Spirit. Southwest has been great so far until yesterday. But wasn't really their fault.
My flight was Southwest coming out of Love Field in Dallas. Lots of weather related issues yesterday. At least a dozen flights were late at Love. My plane was stuck in New Orleans until the weather cleared up.

I've only had problems with Southwest... and prefer not to feel like cattle. I also get motion sickness bad if I can't "see where I'm going" so I need a window. Frontier has ALWAYS been good to me... though I've heard lots of complaints about them... but I've always left on time, and arrived early. it's all luck I'm sure

The ex-CEO of Spirit bought Frontier a few years ago. It's the reason they went to ala carte style... and the reason they went bankrupt a little while ago.

Spirit sucks... these "budget" airlines cost the same as any other when the fees are all said and done. But the customer service, shit poor logistics at gates, etc is what separates them from the big boys (in a bad way).

When I finally landed yesterday at DIA it took Spirit 1 hour and 45 minutes to get the bags onto the carousel for us to pick up. I could go on a long rant about several experiences but I'll let this Onion piece speak for myself:

So I am at Stevinson right now... Front OE brake pads being replaced at 50k. And they want $450 to do my lower shock bushings in the fronts. That must be what's causing those pops and squeaks.

Might as well go LT now. :D
