No noise from mine. I have heard of a "windshield TSB". Maybe you have a leak in the windshield?

While I do not condone reckless driving and excessive speeds, I have gone above a hundred and haven't heard a hum of any kind, All I heard was road and engine.

Is 90 and 100 mph REALLY recklass? I know when I travel to Kalifornia on the I-10, speeds are REGULARLY 80+. I have been steady with traffic @ 95 mph. Not in my truck, mind you, but it has been often enough to where it almost seems normal.

some remote desert areas have speed limits of 70-80 mph, usually freeway speed limit is 65 but if you are going 80+ and going with the flow of traffic highway patrol wont pull you over.

He's referring to the time he was driving on the autobahn...or else this thread is getting closed.

In Florida you'll see 75 mph zones in I95. 100 isn't that reckless think about the autobahn, I was giving my best "responsibly speech" although I don't know why, lol.

You might not see a speed limit above 65 but in NOVA you'll find people regularly exceeding that. When we're not jammed up in a traffic jam.

Very true. This past Monday when returning from NJ, I set the cruise at 74 through the entire state, except for NOVA which was stop and go as usual. I absolutely hate going through there and that area is the only reason I hate driving up north.

I start hearing the noise right around when my odometer says 78 but going closer to 73 or 74.
In my truck it sounds like the noise is coming from the drivers side front fender. Its like a humming sound.

I have that noise also and it really gets annoying. It also happens when it is really windy out, not just when you are going fast. I had a 05 and the dealer was never able to locate or fix the noise, they resealed the window twice and messed around with the air conditioning air circulation. My 07 does the exact same thing.

85-90 mph is not excessive, if you think it is it might be time to trade in for something more conservative . . .

Well if you've travelled to Vegas, it's not uncommon for traffic to reach those speeds. Plus the posted limit is 70mph outside the cities so it is reasonable to expect that you might go from 70-80.

Mine has a pronounced windshield whistle at 75-80. I heard it for the first time when I took a trip to Vegas. Next time I'm at the dealer, I'll have them do the windshield TSB.

I only hear that loud hum when there's a heavy crosswind and I'm on the highway. Never had the TSB done and mine was an early 05. Unfortunately I had to have my windshield replaced due to road rocks. The hum is still there though in heavy cross wind. I know there's not a leak either as I watched the guy do the replacment and how much "goop" he put on to seal everything. More than what he removed for sure.

my 08 has the hum i originaly thought it was coming from the dash area and when i went in for my first free oil change i asked them about it and they checked it out and said they have had probs with the windshield, after leaving i noticed it was in fact the wind shield, while driving my buddy pushed up on the windshield around the mirror area and the hum stoped. mine seems almost like it depends on which way the wind is blowing if its going to hum or not. what is the tsb?

I had that TSB done to my 08 DC. The service advisor said its an often occurance...usually starts around 70+ mph depending on how windy it is outside. They basicly re-seal the top of the wind shield (even though the sound seems like its coming from somewhere else)
